Stopped here on our way out of Halifax and it took FOREVER to get a coffee and a simple breakfast sandwich. I tried to enter with my partner and got quite a rude "ONE customer at a time, it's for OUR safety". That's fine. Being a HCW I totally understand.
What happened next bothered me. There was a line outside and while waiting outside I noticed the lady who was very rude and concerned about hers and staff safety exited the Tim Hortons to give someone she knows in line preferential treatment and handed him a coffee in exchange for a toonie. That customer was not wearing a mask nor was the worker during the exchange and then she re-entered the Tim Hortons.
I'm sorry, but if you're concerned about the safety of your staff, you just put them and the customers at risk by interacting outside the establishment with someone not wearing PPE and then returning inside.
And to top if off as we were driving we found out they didn't even toast or heat the English muffin. Just a cold dry sandwich. And it was half put together.
