Small town, big flavour coming from this place.
Before I get to the food, I want to give credit where credit is due. As soon as we walked in, the waitress and the owner were very welcoming and accomidating with helping with our order and even getting to know us and make us feel comfortable in their restaurant. The owner seems like a genuine, kind, young buisness owner who loves food and wants to share his love of food and culture with the public.
Now for the food. We ordered some of their garlic naan, butter chicken with rice, and what a right decision it was. The curry was packed with flavour, velvety smooth, had a good spice to it and overall amazing taste. My only negative out of this entire review, I wouldve liked a bit more chicken. As soon as I started to unwrap my naan from the foil, I knew it was going to be good. Light, airey, perfect texture for dipping in your butter chicken sauce. I would recommend the jeer rice over the steamed. Nothing againest steamed, I just find the jeer rice compliments it well.
Definitely won't be my...
Read moreOrdered take out. Got the butter chicken and something called “korai” chicken (not sure how it’s spelled). Both the wife and I were in-love at the first bite. It was rich and flavourful with so much depth that we know we’re gonna go back and order the same things again at least 1 more time before we try anything else. The garlic naan is to die for, I’d highly recommend getting 1 order for each person since it’s so good that you won’t want to share.
My only real complaint is that the food doesn’t come with rice and you have to order it along side everything else, but I think we all know how to make rice so it’s not really a big deal to make your own.
All in all, Curry and Co. is a fantastic addition to the neighbourhood and provides a much needed burst of high quality Indian flavours and culinary diversity that I feel Old Georgetown has needed for a long time, and it does so at fair prices.
Needless to say, we will be coming back again and again and again and again and again and again and - you get the...
Read moreDecided to try something new for our 30th wedding anniversary and we like to support local. Yikes. To start with the food was good, and the prices were great, but the service needs A LOT of work. Water stained menus (just reprint them, they're just on 8.5x11 paper), the wine "list" was three bottles brought to the table to "pick one", we ordered (after a ton of confusion over what was gluten free or not) and then the waitress came back and asked us for our order....Everyone was really pleasant and we have lots of leftovers, portions were generous, but don't go for...
