Today was the first time I ever went here. I arrived and was seated right away. We had to wait 10 minutes for our server to come and even say hello to our table. She apologized for the wait and took both our drink and food orders. My table was right by the bar and I could see my drinks sitting there waiting to be brought to my table. We ended up waiting another 10 minutes before the drinks were brought to the table. We didn't see our server again for 20 minutes (keep in mind we had been waiting for our food for 30 minutes at this point and had been sitting for a total of 40 minutes) when the table behind us, who came in and ordered after us, received their food. Our waitress finally came back after 40 minutes of waiting and offered to get us refills for our drinks... we declined not wanting to have to wait even longer for those. She came back again saying the kitchen had suddenly become slammed and that our food would be right out and this is when we reminded her that we have been waiting for almost an hour. We did not order large quantities of food. The owner was going around apologizing to everyone who had to wait. If your kitchen staff cannot handle a dinner rush when the patio is not open and dining room was not full then maybe you should rethink your kitchen staff. Your establishment was basically at half capacity (if you count full capacity as having the patio open) and the the kitchen staff fell behind. To top it all off, I observed servers standing around chatting to each other while customers drinks were sitting at the bar waiting to be brought to their table. The owner came over to my table to explain why everything was so slow, and as someone who works in the food industry I understand, but at least tell your servers to look busy because now your story and what other customers are observing are really conflicting. In the end, our waitress was very nice and was trying to make everything up to us as was the owner of this establishment. They were very apologetic and did everything in their power to make our experience better.
My recommendation to future customers: call ahead to make sure there aren't huge wait times or don't come during peak hours. I may come again in the future as the food actually was delicious when it finally arrived to our table after an...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went here on January 30th around 9pm. It was quiet, maybe 5 tables full. We sit at our table, and the waitress was 10-15 minutes before even bringing us water. I asked what beer was on tap, it didn’t really seem like she knew. Another 10 minutes go by, and THEN we got to order our food. That already put me in a bad mood. The menu was pretty overpriced and there wasn’t anything that caught my eye. So I asked for a plain fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. (I asked if I could substitute broccoli in and she said they don’t do broccoli, even though there was some in my boyfriends meal. Like come on you don’t even know what’s in your dishes?) we received our cheesy bread and both our plates, I didn’t notice my dish right away, and there was no chicken, because I was enjoying the appetizer. We tried making eye contact and she kinda looked at us kinda didn’t pay attention. I wasn’t able to get up and bug her because I just had surgery and am not very mobile right now. Finally came over, I mentioned how it was missing and she almost tried acting like I miscommunicated what I wanted, haha. At this point I was just ticked off. Asked for a new one to be made and just box it to go. The waitress was a nice enough person, I wouldn’t say she was mean, but her and the staff in general didn’t really seem to care. The food is SO overpriced (6 bucks to add fake bag boiled chicken) and it’s nothing special. There’s a lot of potential for this joint if it was managed better and the food wasn’t so basic, but that experience honestly ruined it for me. There are so many other better restaurants in the city, go to those...
Read moreWill not be going back. They tried to sit our party of six at a table that barely sits four and when we asked to be moved to a larger booth we were told “our manager said no”. The manager did not come over until we specifically asked to speak with him and in turn he proceeded to tell us all their booths hold six people and the booth that we were inquiring about was being held for another party that called in. They don’t take reservations! My husband had called as we were driving to the restaurant to inquire of wait times and attempted to put our name in but we were advised no, walk ins only. When my husband advised the manager of this, he then proceeded to tell us the table was being held for dinner rush, meanwhile it was 7pm...then the final reason we couldn’t move to the booth was because that is where they do their cutlery. Well, I really hope that cutlery tips good!! We were granted to move to another table which fit six people, but we were still pretty tight.
Our server was good - efficient, friendly and apologetic for the table mishap. We had the nachos for an appetizer and these were good!
For my main, I had the steak...$29 steak...
I would have much rather spent my $29 elsewhere. It was semi cold and for the price the portion was totally not worth it! Very disappointing.
Their bar scene is nice however winters are long and that bar isn’t going to hold your bottom line. They really need to review their methods of seating, portion size to price ratios, location of their cutlery prep and overall managments interaction with...
