Ordered there through UberEats today for my coworkers and I for pickup. Ordered several shawarma salads with specific details on them, and also ordered a lamb/beef shawarma asking for no onions as my coworker. I had high expectations since I came here right after they first opened and the food and service was fantastic. This time though, it was pretty rough. Like, one of the worst shawarma experiences I've had, which was a pretty big letdown since I hyped the place up to my coworkers.
So for the shawarma salads, they all came with small amounts of dry chicken which had very little flavor. And the salads had no garlic sauce or hot sauce on them. They gave us 2 small containers of garlic sauce and hot sauce on the side, which BARELY sufficed for one single salad. This detail alone completely ruined the shawarma salad experience. The requests made for each item purchased via ubereats were also not addressed as the beef and lamb shawarma had onions on them. The only vindicating part was that my one coworker enjoyed her falafel wrap. I've had plenty of bad shawarma experiences in the past but they have very seldom left me feeling cheated out of my money. We paid something like $78 for the food altogether and it just wasn't worth it. Plus, for some odd reason, their chicken shawarma salad is listed for $9.00 on the website menu, but it's something like $14.40 on UberEats despite being the exact same item, which is a confusing difference.
Anyways, this restaurant was amazing when it opened so it clearly has the potential to do fantastic. I hope my experience was a one-off, and that they pick things up because I really did feel like they set the bar high for Hamilton Shawarma when they first opened a few...
Read moreThis place has really gone downhill. It used to be something to look forward to. The dinning room is filthy. I had to wipe down and clean the table/chair myself. It wasn't just the last person left some crumbs no i checked the tables around me and they had had filthy stained chairs too. Most of it came out with a wet paper towel when I cleaned it. Look up, everything is covered in a nice layer of dust. The washroom looks like the landlord special, I'm afraid to touch the sink, might fall off from being held on with 5 inches of caulking.
They are running a 'new promotion', where they allegedly lowered the prices of their queen wraps. However, you learn real quick that this is a lie. The size of sandwiches were absolutely tiny. No meat, no sauce even. When I asked why they were so small i learned that it's because I bought at the promotional price not the regular price. This is literally false advertising, nowhere does it say you get less food at the promo price. They did not lower their prices, they gave you a whole different sandwich than what you think you're getting under the guise of promotional prices.
It's sad because they actually had a good product but the last little while this location has really gone downhill. At one point they were charging for pomegranate molasses, napkins, ketchup, etc when other locations weren't. All it takes is one bad franchise owner to ruin it for the franchise. Sad because the food is actually good or at least it was actually good. Anyways, I'd recommend any of the competitors, we have plenty of good options now, we don't need to put up with bad franchise owners who want to pinch pennies instead of...
Read moreOH....MY...WOOOOWWWW! . Wow...wow...and Wow! 🤤 . LET ME JUST SAY....This place just spanked all the other Shawarma places I have ever tried. Never mind Shawarma Royale...These guys should be called "King of Shawarma"! . People would always tell me how amazing shawarma was, but to be honest I was never really and truely sold. Either the meat was too chewy or it just didn't blow my mind. UNTIL NOW! . It was recommended to me to try out Shawarma Royale in Stoney Creek. As soon as I walked in I noticed the nice interior and cleanliness-which is always a Plus. Nothing like grease build-up to get you in the mood. This place was in MINT condition-its beautiful! . I ordered the "King Chicken Wrap Extra" which comes with mushrooms and cheese-wrapped in Pita and Markook Bread. . The staff were super welcoming and kind-they asked what sauce we would like. When we told them it was our first time we were then given all the yummy pairings- hot sauce, Garlic sauce (which by the way is KILLER GOOD)-Wow and Pomegranate Sauce-No words. . The minute I got home and took a bit all I could say and continued to repeat was WOOOOOWWWWw!!!! It was just that good. To be honest...It was perfect. It wasn't overloaded with topics -it was just the right amount of ingredients. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you enjoy Shawarma or would like to try it. . I will 100% be returning to this Beauty in Stoney Creek! (amongst many other locations...
