Management is really a bad and disrespecting to me due to my colour nationality, I got harassed by manager. On last Wednesday around 6pm, I was placing an order very gently, suddenly one team member interrupted me while I was ordering a food and he saying oh!! Do you know.!! you have to pay extra, I replied, I said why you are saying this to me, I know what Iâm ordering and this is not first time i come to chipotle I know why are you saying this to me.
I told, You know there are so many people standing behind me, everyone listening and felt so bad as I came there with my family.
Afterwards, there is one white guy heâs standing so far in the line, and he run, came to me and started yelling on me and saying yo!! remove your hand you will throw your bad bacteria on food. I was so far from food section not even close plus there is âglass shelfâ which cover a whole food sectionâ, just meaningless things, they were saying to me, wanted to make me feel an embarrassed.
Later, Manager show up I was expecting he will stop him but instead helping me !! he took his side because heâs white colour too, he took away my food and thrown away in front of me, donât allowed me to pay for a food, kicked me out from the store by saying will not give u food get out.
I was so hungry and travelled from grimsby to Ancaster just for chipotle as there is no other store in Hamilton see what I got from store, felt so bad & embarrassed, first time ever I felt racist since came to Canada itâs been 10 year*.
My family was with me I really wanted to ask to managementââ what is my issue? Why you guys treated me racist in your store? Why ?? How would you feel if the same thing happens to you when youâre with your family.???

But she tried to pass it. She thought I wouldnât notice she did it in such a way hoping I wouldnât notice. I waited for more protein that I paid for. I just let it go, but not this time. No complaints about the food - everything seemed consistent from previous locations I have been to, except employee attitude (knowing companies can apply to have a review removed I am submitting again cause your company should know). I have worked in customer service for 15 years - you gotta leave your attitude or whatever is bothering you at home, donât bring it to work. Tall Asian girl, bubble ponytail, arm full of tattoos, working December 23rd in the evening. Absolutely awful attitude, making faces at customers when they asked questions (clearly some peoples first time there). When I was ordering (like the 1000th time Iâve eaten hear over the years, I KNOW my options) this woman just kept asking âis that it, itâs that it, is that itâ while pointing rudely and implying that me asking for a tiny scoop of hot sauce vs a whole heaping spoon full is an inconvenience for her. She then loudly expressed âyou spend 30 minutes in line to get up here and not know what you what?â To her coworker so that customers could hear. No⌠I knew there was no hmmmm or âhold onâ I told you what I wanted and you got upset when I asked for something specific (a little instead of a lot). She clearly presented the attitude of not wanting to be there, if I was her manager - sheâd be kicked to the back and not in a customer facing role with that attitude. If sheâs in management then chipotle needs to look at their hiring practices cause she is not someone indicative of a âteam playerâ or a leader.
