This review is service rated, as I'm typically happy with the food quality. I ordered the mixed grill for 4 for my family mother's Day. I placed the order in the morning for pickup at 615pm. I received confirmation the order was processed and a reminder to be on time for pick up. At 615 my order was not prepared because the price that they have advertised on their website was a special not being honoured today. My husband was informed they couldn't reach me by phone, and because of the 10$ price difference they didn't prepare my order. So, my table is set, my 3 kids are STILL waiting for dinner(it's now 7:05pm). It's Mother's Day! I didn't hear my phone as I was with my family! The dinner was already 100+$...just get it ready!..it was your error and frankly speaking ridiculous that you aren't honouring the price you posted and this was your reasoning for choosing not to prepare our meal. . I didn't even care about the price...I just wanted a care free dinner with my family in the dinner hour on Mother's Day.......
Update. ..we recieved our order at 7:25 pm..the manager/owner contends this delay was my fault for not answering my phone to confirm I would pay the extra. It is mother's Day. I was spending time with my family off my phone. Thanks for taking no responsibility in your error or attempting to rectify the situation. For anyone wondering, yes we also paid the higher price. I have visited all the Burlington locations as well as the Waterdown location and Oakville location and I have never had a problem. However, I got ripped off when I ordered the Jebneh appetizer for take out at the Ancaster location. Having ordered this appetizer several times before I knew that the portion was quite large and is normally served with their complementry garlic sauce and tomato sauce. To my disappointment I only received 9 small pieces of cheese with garnish and I had to pay for the garlic sauce which they charged me as "extra". Unfortunately by the time I realized this I had already arrived at my destination, but I decided to call. I spoke to the server who took my order and I explained that I only received 9 pieces and this dish is served with more. All I got was excuses and one in particular which I heard her manager say to her was that it was smaller because of the weight of the cheese. I can see that I was getting nowhere and they were not interested in rectifying the situation. Please see the attached pictures of the Jebneh from the Ancaster location vs one of the Burlington locations. Also upon further review, the Ancaster's location price was $1.04 more. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Montfort Mediterranean Grill in Ancaster to pick up an order, and unfortunately, I had a deeply unsettling experience. When I arrived, the young man behind the cash register, who appeared to be a family member of the owner, did not greet me or acknowledge my presence.
After I politely asked if he worked there and mentioned that his customer service could use improvement, he reacted unexpectedly. He became upset, raising his voice and speaking aggressively. I was taken aback by the outburst and felt very uncomfortable.
As I was leaving, the situation escalated when he moved toward me in a threatening manner. He threatened to assault me and continued with verbal assault and threats. I never once threatened him. He was a young guy and I knew he was full of anger. I used to be like that, so I just tried to keep my distance but he kept approaching me.
Thankfully, other employees intervened and stopped him, but the scene had already caused other customers, including families, to leave the restaurant abruptly.
While I chose not to involve the authorities, the incident left me shocked. I had simply come to pick up an order, but I felt unsafe.
I would advise others to be cautious when visiting...
