I've had just about every sweet crepe there has to offer here, not pictures of all of them, but each of them are so delicious and so unique!! I love that I can change toppings too! I enjoy switching pineapple for blueberry on my Harliesplit.
It's very filling and satisfying to have at any time of day, and it's become a comfort of mine to get them! I can't recommend one single crepe on it's own, I love them all, but I do remember my first crepe ever being Strawberry Crush on the day it was a specialty, and I fell in love ever since
The coffee has such a wonderful flavour that goes well with any crepe you could order from here, too! I am very picky about my coffee and this one is one of my favourites now!
While the food and coffee is delicious, what makes it even better is the owner herself! She's so sweet and kind, personable to talk to, and a really hard worker. I find myself always smiling and feeling happy with her sunshine attitude
It's an LGBTQ+ friendly space as well, as a trans man I feel very safe entering her shop and don't feel judged or discriminated against. I dress a certain way as well, I have a very accessorized over the top emo fashion sense and despite the way I look or portray myself, I'm never spoken to or treated differently and I couldn't ask for anything more!
If there's any small business I'd support it'd be this one, I hope Crepe n Around stays for many more years to come!! I love this place and would walk to it every day for a crepe and a coffee if I could ♡
HIGHLY encourage you to go visit this place for yourself! There is definitely something you will fancy here whether you like...
Read moreI came across this lil place via Too Good to Go, and have officially been turned onto crepes even though I was not a crepes person before!
The vibe is rustic and a little eclectic, but clean and spacious. I have not dined in but would have no issue doing so in the future! Plenty of parking available but very easy to miss this spot since the closest parking is to the side of the building where the sign is visible.
Even though it was a surprise bag, I was very happy with it! I can tell the owner puts so much care into her work. The sweet crepes were fresh and delicious; I also received a baked good that was so soft and truly homemade. I recently ordered savoury crepes not through Too Good to Go, and they were also very yummy!
My key reason for this review is to acknowledge and recognize the real gem of this place, which IS the owner. She is incredibly warm, welcoming, fun, and like an angel. She really loves what she does and she puts that into everything she does. These days, it is not an often occurrence to have positive exchanges especially in a quick in and out pick up/takeout situation - even more so through a third party like TGT/Uber/Skip/etc. But we had a very personal conversation that showed me how good natured the owner really is. It was such an impactful interaction that I will return just to say hello to her if I am in the area.
I know it is not directly related to the business, but the owner (like any owner of a small business) is the heart and soul of thjs business, and it is a lovely heart and...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a place to satisfy your sweet tooth without looking too suspicious, Just Crepe N Around (233 Parkdale Ave N, Hamilton, ON L8H 5X4) has you covered — because let’s be honest, the only thing better than a cafe is a cafe that serves crepes!
I believe in trying a variety, so I ordered 3 different flavours of crepes (1 savoury and 2 sweet). The Le Greek savoury crepe was a brunch masterpiece, packed with fresh spinach, tangy feta, briny olives, and a hint of oregano that ties it all together with Mediterranean flair. Each bite delivered a perfect balance of earthy greens and creamy, salty goodness, making it a must-try for a hearty yet refreshing meal. Meanwhile, the Harliesplit crepe was a delightful combination of sweet strawberries, ripe bananas, and a generous swirl of whipped cream, making it the ultimate treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. The Oreo Crepe, a crowd-pleaser, offering the perfect mix of crispy cookies and creamy filling at an incredibly affordable price, making it one of the best value-for-money options on the menu.
The savoury and sweet crepes, combined with a fun game of Trivial Pursuit and UNO with friends made for the perfect laidback brunch experience that we were eager to return to!
