This doesnt even deserve a star... First time I went to Mr.Sub in years! I went to parkdale area one, kinda off of Barton. Horrible experience.. I wanted a chicken buffalo sub. They didn't even ask if I wanted it toasted.. I don't even care about that.. It's the fact I had 2 people making one simple sub, a chicken buffalo sub toasted with Onion, lettuce, green pepper. Cucumber, with hot sauce, and Home dressing. I got a grilled chicken sub...Not the Chicken Buffalo. I'm actually disappointed they could mess up such a simple sub. They didn't even listen to what I wanted. As a customer I did not want to be rude but why is there 2 people making one basic sub. I didn't even end up eating it. I gave it away. I just wasted basically 13$ with tax on a sub they messed up and didnt listen to me more than twice on a something ive been really wanting for years since this Chicken Buffalo sub came out. I instead got some grilled chicken plain sub. I thought it was a 'cripsy chicken buffalo chicken Sub"" on a sub.. it was very disappointing and I'm dissatisfied with the customer service.also I guess I was wrong about you guys even years after, Just know it kinda ruined my experience of even wanting Mr.Sub agian. Maybe in another couple of years but for now I know why I actually stopped going....they don't listen to the customer & clearly make the sub they want. I'm...
Read moreThis is Mr. sub location on the corner of Parkdale and Melvin Avenue has been there for as long as I can remember. I used to go to this Mr. sub when I was 13 years old, working across the street at the drugstore. I’m a 47-year-old grandfather now and the sub shop is still there is still going strong. Store has newer owners a very nice couple whom I talked with today when I went in to get my free birthday sandwich. They bought the business right as Trudeau shut the country down for Covid and this lovely couple made it work and their new business survived Covid. I gave five stars for everything except atmosphere. That’s only because as I pulled in right outside a car had backed up and hit some woman walking down the street with her food cart. An argument ensued was not fun to watch. The store itself is in a neighbourhood had some issues, but the neighbourhood has a lot of good people living there as well . The store was clean. The food looked fresh. The lettuce was crisp. Everything in the store was sparkling. You could tell they care about hygiene and food safety. If you ever going down Parkdale or you’re in the area, looking for something to eat, I would recommend stopping in for a sandwich at Mr. sub in this location. The cleanliness and the...
Read moreOnly giving this a 2 and no higher because the food is amazing here.. only reason service/atmosphere is bad is because they hardly make it known your even ordering when your putting toppings on. I came here at 11:30 at night when they were about to close at 12 since its the closest place to my house thats open and ordered a chicken parmesan on a mozza-cheddar bun. Why was there no parmesan on it. Its in the name. Other than that i was going to get a small order of there bacon-queso tater tots and they told me they could at first so i was happy to try it finally, other girl came out and said they couldnt since the marychef was cooling down and off for the night… i work at Tim Hortans and we use the exact same thing, if it was cooling down it would have been so loud i couldnt even hear the 2 workers. And besides you could still see all of the presets and there is ALWAYS a circle showing how far it is from being fully cooled to wash the tray inside. I do love this place but seriously. I know its 11pm but as someone who works in customer service i always run out of doughnuts or chicken at work and make them for the customers rushing myself to do it since its always the #1 priority to serve them. Do better...
