McDonald's — Restaurant in Hamilton

I came through the McDonald's drive-thru on Upper Gage on May 27th) between 10:30-11:00pm, after working a long shift at the hospital. There was nobody in the drive-thru, I was the first to arrive. No one acknowledged my presence until I said "hello?"

I then placed my order, a small drink and two burgers. I pulled up to the second window, paid with my debit, and about 5 minutes later a young man said "yeah, it's not going to be ready for a while, can you pull up?" I kindly pulled into the waiting area, where I would sit for over 20 minutes.

After I seen several people getting their orders after me, I approached the Uber eats window as all the doors to the building were locked. I told a young blonde lady that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes for my order. She then grabbed a different young man, who said he had no record of my transaction.

I described the first young man who I initially paid at the window, asking if he was still there to confirm I paid and he said no. I showed my bank statement with the date and charge as proof of purchase, and I asked if I could at least get a refund. I was told there was nothing he could do for me because he had no record in his system, he would ask me to wait AGAIN while he checks.

I tried to get the attention of a young woman by saying "excuse me" that was at the window serving an Uber driver, and she completely ignored me and walked away closing the window behind her.

The young man returned with receipts, listing items from different orders "because he can't find mine," which is when I asked for the manager... he told me he IS the manager. Finally he asked what the last digits of my debit card was, where he would find my order and told me he'd prepare it for me.

I was there for 40 minutes... for two burgers and a small drink... I received zero apology or compensation. I come to this location all the time and never experienced this issue. I find this...

The most incompetent team of staff!

I have had so many bad experiences with this particular location, but will just share the latest 2.

Yesterday my neighbours ordered 2 mcChickens with EXTRA sauce, one was opened to reveal chicken and lettuce, no sauce, and the other one had only the chicken patty on it! No extra sauce, no sauce at all, not even the lettuce. The receipt even said extra sauce for both meals 🤦🏼‍♀️

It is 6:50pm and I just got home from ordering 2 nugget happy meals, and a 10 pc nugget combo. I was in the restaurant, and ordered at the till. I was the only customer in the restaurant and they did not appear super busy at all! In fact there was one employee socializing at the counter with 2 other girls. After 15 minutes I got someone’s attention and made them aware I was still waiting for my order. They couldn’t figured out what happened, and they remade my order. They offered me a free ice cream (in zero degree weather 🤦🏼‍♀️) for my trouble. Update- when I finally got home my disappointed children realized there was no toy in either of their happy meals.. thanks McDonald’s.

This specific McDonald has a terrible reputation for messing up peoples orders, it’s frustrating and sad that these people can’t do their job. Perhaps the manager needs to provide more training opportunities, or just ensure they are only keeping COMPETENT staff, this seems to be a hard thing to find at...

Very disappointing. Ordered 2 quarter pounder with cheese burgers one with bacon, 2 junior chicken sandwiches and chicken nuggets. There was a sticker on one of the quarter pounder with cheese burgers stating it was made fresh for you. It was the one with bacon but the bacon was so hard it must have been made last week made fresh for me ha ha. The other quarter pounder when opened up had the top of the tomato with all the green stems still on it and both had very little sauce on them it looked like they wiped the spoon in the middle just to add a touch of colour to them. The 2 junior chickens also had very little sauce on them and both tasted like they were made days prior and reheated and had a very distinct unappetizing taste to them after 2 bites were thrown away. And one tub of sauce for the nuggets is not barely enough for a kids 4 pack never mind a regular order. Come on McDonald's your trying so hard to change your menu with new products and new healthy lines etc that you aren't making the products that got you to the top worth while. Please pay attention to the details it's what brings...
