I’ve always loved Pita Pit and frequently visit multiple locations because of the great food and service. However, my experience at this location has been disappointing on more than one occasion. On my recent visit today around 6:40 PM, I felt incredibly uncomfortable due to the two young female staff members speaking in what I believe to be Punjabi. While I respect multiculturalism, in a customer-facing role, professionalism requires speaking a language customers can understand. Given that we’re in Canada and our national languages is either English or French, those are the only two appropriate languages to be speaking in customer-facing roles.
What upset me most was noticing in the window reflection (while my back was turned to them) that the staff were laughing and appearing to comment on my appearance based on their gestures and body language. This is deeply disrespectful and unprofessional. After looking at recent reviews, I see that I’m not the first customer to feel uncomfortable due to the atmosphere at this location.
I’ll be avoiding this location in the future and instead visiting Kenilworth and Barton, where the staff are always friendly, respectful, and professional. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to create a more welcoming environment...
Read moreI have loved Pita Pit for so long! I always order a Deli Club. When they came out with their Deli Club Salad, my Mom fell in love, too! The food is always fresh, and the selection of cold and hot toppings is awesome. When we ordered a few months ago, the staff were making my moms large salad and literally put a handful of lettuce in it. I actually thought she was joking. I asked for more, as it was the base of the meal, and again, a small handful. Since then, every time we have had to beg for a full servings of the lettuce. I know it is the cheapest item. The last time I went in, it happened again! I let the staff know I wanted a full bowl and I kept asking for more until the bowl was filled properly. I absolutely would have paid for extra. I don't think the management staff would be happy if customers were not getting their money's worth. I will still eat from Pita Pit with the hope that...
Read moreGot the chicken souvlaki rice bowl (regular size)with tziki and Greek sauce and a kiddie sized chocolate banana smoothie. My partner had the buffalo chicken wrap (regular). Total came to around $32.
The pictures I took are before I ate any. As you can tell there is not much chicken on it. The pieces are tiny and had some gristle but tasted good. Good topping, sauce, and spice selection though. I like how they will grill vegetables for you. I found it odd that there was very little rice since rice is so cheap and is a good filler. Overall it tasted good.
The chocolate banana smoothie tasted like old browned sweet banana, not a fresh yellow one. Didn't really taste any chocolate. It was alright.
My partners wrap looked like it had a bit more chicken but not by much. He said it was good though!
Not a bad option for some healthier...
