Starting off with the positives: the food was excellent and the prices were lower than most places. The servers were excellent as well.
Now the negatives. The floors were sticky and clearly hadnt been cleaned properly in awhile. There were flies we had to shoo away. And they screwed our order up. When our food arrived at the table one of our plates was the wrong order. After flagging down a server and waiting 10 minutes we got the correct order. It was supposed to be buffalo chicken wings and we were served a burger of some sort. The servers were very apologetic and quick to remedy the situation. Fair enough, people make mistakes and we were impressed that the server owned it. The server even came back with the burger and told us they were just going to throw it out so we could take it if we wanted. Since it was going to waste anyway we decided to take it home and eat it later.
Then, when the bill showed up, the burger that was unsolicitedly given to us was on the bill. We pointed out to the server that we hadn't wanted the burger and she apologized and went to take it off the bill. She came back a minute later and said her manager JAY said if she threw out the burger she could take it off the bill. So manager JAY'S restaurant screwed up our order, made us wait longer for our actual order, and was so petty he made the server throw out the burger. The poor server was so embarrassed at having to come back and talk to us with JAY'S response. The guy didnt even have the balls to come talk to us himself.
Would recommend Chucks Roadhouse look for a new JAY or consider giving him some training. In the meantime eat here at...
Read moreMe and my two friends came to Chucks roadhouse on a Friday night trying to have a good time celebrating both of them recently turning 19 and being legal. We showed up around 9:30 and it’s currently 11:30. We have had three drinks over the course of two hours and aren’t close to being over the exceeded limit at all. The waitress took it upon her own judgement to tell us (when we tried to order our third and fourth drink at the same time because she would not come back to our table for periods of time) that we have already had a couple drinks and we weren’t allowed to have that many after looking me up and down clearly judging the size of my body. Half an hour had passed since she was last at our table and I had tried to order a pitcher for myself since she would no longer pay attention to our table but would go to all of her other tables while walking passed us several times. She then told me I could not have a pitcher and asked if we had a safe ride home which we responded with yes since we have a driver coming to pick us up later. She still told me I could not have a pitcher to myself and would only give us one pitcher for our whole table. Which wasn’t even two drinks for each person. I have worked in several restaurants and have never experienced a server treating customers this way. We are disgusted by the service here and it has ruined our two birthday celebrations. Read moreJust left Chuck’s in Hanover and had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Megan was our server and things started off fine but when the food came after half an hour of waiting the fries and sandwiches were cold. Ok no big deal. My husband didn’t complain but I did say my fries were cold and we didn’t receive the lettuce and pickles for my daughter’s burger. She grabs my plate and takes it back but when she returns and asks if we need anything else, I said “Thanks, just the lettuce and pickles for my daughter’s burger.” She then huffs and goes back into the kitchen where we can hear her yelling at the kitchen staff. She then speeds past us and slams the bowl of toppings down by my daughter without a word. When she came back to ask us if our meal was fine 😂😂 my husband told her it was cold and I was quick to tell her what I didn’t appreciate was her behaviour with the burger toppings and I couldn’t believe how uncomfortable she just made us all. Instead of apologizing she immediately defends her terrible behaviour saying it’s busy (there were 5 tables total and 2 tables were done eating). I asked for the bill and a manager, she comes back and slams the machine on the table and walked away again. I’ve never spoken to a restaurant manager before in my life and I have terrible anxiety and that experience has left me shaking in disbelief with the audacity of Megan.
