A&W Canada — Restaurant in Hanover

My boyfriend and I just came home from A&W Hanover Ontario. Phone number on receipt and online website rings 3-times and goes to a fax machine Called 4X same thing “Fax Machine”!! When we got home and took our order out of the bag.

We ordered; Chicken BLT w/extra Mayo

Papa burger w/cheese mustard, pickle, lettuce

One onion ring, one fry and small ROOT BEER.

I thought it was a pretty basic order. What we got was

Chicken BLT with NO BACON NO TOMATOES AND VERY LITTLE MAYO. BASICALLY CHICKEN AND LETTUCE ON A BUN!!

Ordered Papa Burger with Cheese, lettuce, mustard, pickle NO CHEESE, NO LETTUCE BASICALLY GOT A BURGER WITH MUSTARD & PICKLE.

For this order we paid $28.09. For this money I could of had a nice steak meal somewhere. Ridiculous that we pay this kind of money for a messed up mess that we didn’t order. Then on top of all that I can not even reach a person on the phone to talk about the messed up order. Hence why the now have this bad review on a public site. I will be taking this up with them in person when I am back in town. I live in the country and I am about 40km from this...

This was a horrible experience. When we came into the place it was a Saturday morning and they had one patron sitting and eating and one at the counter waiting to order. After five minutes of no one coming to take our orders and, it appeared no one was working in the back cooking either, I called to see if anyone would answer. A man answered and I stated we were at the counter waiting to order. Magically three staff appeared out of nowhere and went back to work. Where were they hiding? Why all three at the same time? The same thing happened again while we were sitting eating a few minutes later, not as long as us but I almost suggested he call the store like I had previously before the counter person appeared from the back to take his order. The staff at this location are absolutely the best. Every time I or my family come in they are always friendly and try their best to accommodate everyone. I witnessed a girl help an elderly woman bring her order to her car, even assisted the woman with getting into the vehicle safely, and it was a rather beautiful experience. They know customers by name, and for some they can start their order before they even enter the building, simply because they recognize their car. The food is always fresh and made correctly, if there was an error (which is very rare) it is corrected immediately with many apologies which shows how kind they really are.
