Stunning quality and attention to detail. I don’t recall having better bread in a sandwich and sandwich is practically my middle name. Gloriously soft and fresh. We had a Mushroom/Avocado w. pesto and modified Swiss. Quality, quality. Peach pastry in Creme Anglaise was similarly excellent, as was the coffee. How I wish a similar bakery was near my home. I would travel far for this.

Came towards the end of the day so they were sold out of all baked goods besides a cheesecake square, that’s fine I got it. Was alright but not worth almost $5. The iced chai latte was literally all ice and milk. It just tasted like milky water very disappointed. For what I paid it was not worth it. Maybe its best to try again morning time🤷‍♀️

This bakery is the most wonderful spot in Havelock. Their croissants and danishes are unmatched anywhere in the region. I happily drive from Campbellford to pick them up whenever I feel like a treat. There’s lots of space to eat in and my oldest tells me their ice coffee is wonderful too.

Ever since moving to Codrington I've been looking for a bakery in the area that does a proper sourdough. These folks are a bit out of the way, so I've had them on my to-do list for a while.

I finally decided today was the day to take a drive up to Havelock and see what this bakery is all about.

The croissants are flaky and decadent. The danishes are full of flavour, and they don't need to cheat by drowning them in icing sugar. The pumpkin seeds on the whole wheat sourdough are so perfectly toasted they can be eaten on their own (and you will, because as you're slicing they leap off the bread and scatter everywhere ... I hunted every last one down because yum).

Oh, yeah, and the sourdough: we've found our sourdough bakery.

Havelock is very lucky to have this place. We're happy to have an excuse to road trip up here...

I came in today for the first time and was not impressed, unfortunately.

The bakery is nice, it's clean, it is airy and spacious; I liked the way it looked. I went in for an almond croissant, which they didn't have, and a butter croissant, which I ended up buying two of. I found the price to be reasonable for the two croissants. They were big in size, probably at 25% bigger than an average croissant, but it didn't taste like a croissant to me. I found the croissant to be lacking butter, and it was not flaky like a proper croissant is. It was more like a flakier bread roll shaped as a croissant. I feel that if more butter and more laminating were applied, it'd be much better. As for the customer service, she was young and looked a little lost and a little shy to speak with he public. I'm not sure I'll be...

A delightful surprise just off highway 7 with a spacious, spotless interior, excellent sandwiches and friendly service at a modest price. Delicious ham and cheese (not our supermarket inferior products) with real butter on sourdough bread and good coffee. The washroom was large and absolutely clean. Potted vegetables for sale by the windows were a charming bonus to an enjoyable break from the long highway drive. Coming from the west, the cafe/bakery is easy to see on the north side of the road but because it is just down the street a few buildings it would be easy to miss coming...
