Tipping now a requirement in drive thru????
Been to this DQ more often that I'd like to say publicly, though been trying to cut back and this was my first time in a few months. The food and service (via drive thru) has always been wonderful and they were today again.
What was not wonderful, but rather disappointing, is that the drive-thru now requires you to touch their debit machine so that you can select a tip amount.
First, one of the few silver linings of a pandemic was the move toward touchless payment/ordering: e.g. Apple pay, credit card tap, etc. Having to touch a grungy debit machine became unnecessary. And now it's just dirty and if anything slows down the transaction at hand - kinda opposite of what I assume a drive-thru is aiming for.
Secondly, I can only assume they're trying to get people to tip for their drive-thru fast food orders. I do NOT understand this. While I am okay with tipping at sit-down restaurants where you have a waiter/waitress who provides a service and you can reward them with a tip at the end based on how they made your experience. In a drive-thru, there is little to no experience. You don't know if the person truly did their job correctly (receiving your order and passing it to the kitchen) until you get home at which point if they screwed up it's too late anyways. I can only assume they're jumping onto the tip wagon like so many other greedy businesses just cause they can in hopes the odd person will accidentally push yes to whatever amount.
Point of this review is heavy dislike to their new tipping requirement at this particular location. I will aim to avoid this location so at to not deal with that.
Tried to provide feedback via their survey program on the receipt, but my receipt doesn't have the required 10 or 15 digit survey codes. Also tried to provide feedback through facebook, but on my mobile phone, the webpage wasn't loading properly and half the form was over-written by 'how to contact their headquarters' Alas, an unfortunately public google review was my last option to provide feedback.
Update: filled out their extra feedback forms. Tried visiting again in hopes of change but after wonder why my phone wouldn’t tap for a few seconds like a dummy, the kind lady pointed out I needed to push 1 (no tip) and then OK for the...
Read moreI am writing to express my concern regarding the unhygienic practices I witnessed at your establishment. After placing my order, I observed a staff member handling a large quantity of bread with bare hands and no gloves. When I questioned this, another employee responded by saying, “She washed her hands.”
Let me be clear: washing your hands does not give you the right to handle food without gloves, especially not bread or other ready-to-eat items. What’s worse, when I requested a refund due to this unsanitary behavior, another staff member tried to justify the situation by saying that “people who wear gloves don’t wash them,” clearly demonstrating a lack of basic understanding of hygiene and food safety.
Clearly, your team has no real knowledge about how diseases spread, which explains why so many people get sick after eating at places that neglect proper food handling protocols.
To clarify proper hygiene: • Wash hands thoroughly. • Put on a clean pair of gloves immediately after. • Repeat the process when switching tasks or handling different orders.
This is not just a matter of preference—it is a public health issue. I strongly urge you to educate your staff on proper food safety protocols. This kind of negligence is...
Read moreHi I went to store to get Blizzard and I had free Blizzard coupon which I got it from work. I went to drive-thru and gave coupon to cashier. Her name was Sandi apparently she was night manager. She said that I can’t use the coupon because it is not signed and stamped by store. I told her that I have used these coupon at this location before. She started yelling at me for no reason and slammed drive thru window at me. She didn’t even hear me properly. Then I parked my car and went inside store. I asked her that I need to talk to her manager. The way she treated me was terrible. She again walked away from me.
I could have paid for blizzard but she started yelling at me and slammed drive thru window at me. She was being racist at me. These type of people have no right to be customer service and even she is the manager of the store.
Shame...
