Like every other Pita-Pit in Canada, this should be an easy 5 star. Pita-Pit is one of my favorite fast food places. Unfortunately this particular location is just brutal. The staff are friendly but they always seemed completely overwhelmed. There seems to be a priority for finishing every single online order first, then they'll deal with the walk-ins. Like many have mentioned, waiting around here seems to be the norm. Your best bet is to order online then show up 30 minutes later. Staff also make mistakes constantly - which is to be expected when you have one employee dealing with tons of orders at the same time. Double-check everything and if you order any add-ons, triple check. Two of my last orders were simply a 'smoothie' and both times they messed this up (first time they didn't add the yogurt which is literally the base of the smoothie and the second time they didn't add the protein I paid $2 more for). I've only been three times in the past year because of these issues - hoping things have gotten more efficient every time but it's always completely new staff with the same old issues of not having been trained for their job properly. I've 'tried' to go more but ended up walking out both times and went to Subway and the A&W next door after waiting way too long just to be acknowledged. One time about 5 minutes in, I asked the only other customer in the restaurant if he had ordered yet and he said no. I just left. Enough of that. Read moreI was in for dinner around 7:20pm tonight and the young man working alone had one customer he was working on and one in line before me. He never spoke to any of us line or when we entered the building. He had to reminded by the lady he was helping to give her the smoothie she ordered, when he gave her the drink he walked by (now 4 people waiting in line) without looking at us and said ill be back in a few minutes. Once he came out he took our orders one at a time, never starting anything on the grills like others do when I have been in. He put his gloves on and haphazardly threw our toppings on the grill. He made the one lady her pita and then ran to the back room to get something. He came out and went to make my food without changing his gloves so I asked for him to do so. I also had to ask him for my vitamin water as well before I could leave. He was more worried about how "cool" he looked strutting around the store than he was to do his job quickly and efficiently. The last time I was in there the young girl Abbey that was there had me in and out in less than 20 mins, she was efficient, so polite, friendly and took pride in what she was doing. More staff should be like her, was disappointed by the service tonight....I was not out to my car until 7:53pm, it shouldnt take that long for him to do his job properly. First 5 minutes there,
Male staff member was working hard on an order of 3 pitas. Another staff member took mine and another couples orders than left there shift with us waiting. The 3rd lady staff member was in the back not assisting our orders (she eventually came out)
The couple and I were waiting 15 minutes for our orders to start, but instead of starting our orders, the male member took orders of new customers, making us wait another 5 minutes.
20 minutes in, the couple and I lost our patience and wanted a refund, which took another 10 minutes since the lady staff member had to call her manager since she didnt know how to do it.
It took longer for our refunds than it did for male staff member to make customers orders that came after us.
Our orders should have been started before accepting new customers.
This location must train their staff with proper efficiency procedures and general knowledge of how to work the till before letting them work alone.
