Celebrating our 28th wedding Anniversary in Barrie Beach and decided to try Hot Stacks for our first time!! The waitress and waiter were so helpful and friendly but the food was absolutely delicious!! We ordered the famous pancakes and the waffles too!! This way we could share! The strawberries and whip cream added another level of yumminessssss too!! I loved how the customers engaged with the waitress and waiters as if they were Family!! You can see how much the community loves them and are "regulars" by their smiles, laughter and conversation!! Such a cute family style restaurant to enjoy a wonderful meal! We will definitely be going back!! So I definitely give it two thumbs up or maybe 4 including my husband Brian!!! Lol 🤣 And if you haven't been I highly recommend going!!!👍👍👍👍

If you love big portions and good prices with small town good feels this is the place. We love it here especially the souvlaki plate.. huge portions always and never disappointed ever. Breakfast meals are equally large and delicious. The two ladies that are usually here are always friendly and nice. We love when we get Shauny (I think that's her name) She's always bubbly and the memory she has is incredible Place is small hometown vibe, clean and spacious. The washroom is a little dated but I don't come for the washrooms 🤣 It's in the bsmt, small, it's clean so if you come here to complain about everything but the food make sure you get that sorted out and just come to eat, enjoy the atmosphere and your company

Came here for lunch on the way back to Toronto. The restaurant has a cozy, homey atmosphere, occupying an entire house. We noticed a few tables with elders enjoying their meals. We ordered the Caesar Salad and Chicken Souvlaki Pita Roll, and both portions were quite generous. The chicken was notably tender and juicy. The service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Overall it's a great choice for weekend brunch or family gatherings, where it offers a welcoming environment and good portions. Food (quality, creativity, consistency) - 3/5 Drinks (quality, variety) - NA/5 Ambience (interior design, cleanliness) - 3.5/5 Service (courtesy, knowledge, timeliness) - 3.5/5 Value (quality vs. price) - 4/5

CONTEXT: Visit was Sunday at noon. It was my first visit so had no idea what to expect, but saw the 4.6 star reviews, so was excited to try this restaurant. We were a group with 6 adults and 4 kids.

PROS: Good standard breakfast fare. Servers were very friendly and relaxed.

CONS: Super slow. We waited 15min by the door, with no signage or direction from staff. An elderly couple came in after me but were seated first because they "knew where to stand in line". The waiting area was super cramped and I was totally in the way of people exiting the premises, but I couldn't get out of the way since I had no ticket and staff had not taken my name down. When the hostess/server finally came over, she told me there was no table for 10, and they don't give out wait times. If you've ever waited 15min with one hangry child, you can imagine how my insides were feeling at this point, but no we had 4 hangry kids. My sister suggested we split up, and the server said she doesn't think there are tables available. So I pointed two tables out to her and she led us over. Food took a long time to arrive.

CONCLUSION: one star for food. one star for friendly servers. Expect unknown wait time to get seated, and a looooong time for your yummy...

Arrived at 7:45am. Nicely decorated family place. But not suited for Disabled people. No wheelchair or walker accessiblity. Stairs to washrooms were in the basement. For such a nicely decorated place the ladies washroom needed major renovation.. Had to use one of three cramped stales with no lock on the door. The moldy stench was unbearable. Note to Owner. Hygencally not safe and repulsive. . In the dinning room, we were comfortable seated. Very nice server. We had a full hearty breakfast. Toast ,coffee, juice for two adults with tip $72.00. Bacon was pre-made hard to chew. Sausage was ok. Appreciated not salty. Home fries were very good. Eggs too greasy for me. French toast was OK but also greasy. . Not sure why a cup of orange juice costs $5 Grapefruit juice is $4. Quality of coffee was very good. $6 for two people unlimited. Overall not sure if we...
