We have been going here off and on for a few years and unfortunately have noticed the last few visits that the quality of the food you get is not consistent. The fish and chips my husband ordered was horrible and made him sick. The batter on the fish was soft and mushy and inedible. The fries were cold and undercooked. I advised the server and she admitted that the fish didn’t look right to her but figured the cook in the back knew what they were doing. While the server was nice I found this comment unbelievable. She is the person who is supposed to be looking out for the customer and if she notices something off with the dish she should have said something to the chef/cook. The fish and chips was I believe $18 and we got a $9 discount on that meal because of it being undercooked. I felt that the meal should have been free. I had the pulled pork and sweet potatoes fries. A meal I have had multiple times over the years. The amount of fries I got was less then what used to be served. I didn’t notice anything obviously wrong with by dish however something felt off about it but I was uncertain and figured maybe it was just because my husbands dish was so bad. Turns out I was right about it being off. We no sooner pulled out of the parking lot after leaving the pub and I had bad stomach cramps and barely made it to the washroom o time at home. Not sure what is going on there but whatever changes have gone on are not good and they have lost two long time...

1st & last time here. I’m not saying the service was terrible but if an entire plate of food is sitting untouched, the server should ask if theres an issue. The issue was the flat bread was rock hard, has no seasonings and wasn’t touched. Although removed from the bill, the rest of the food sucked-theres no other way to put it. Nachos were the most boring tasteless nachos known to man, the fries were cold, the gravy - which we had to wait for was ice cold, like taken straight from the fridge and was so watery it was like it was just water with brown food colouring. $12!!!Twelve dollars for a half a slice of tomato cut in half and one piece of bacon crumbled into bread with wilted lettuce is NOT a BLT - picture for proof and it was so over priced - that too was half eaten and not asked about. $60 for half sized nachos, a club sandwich and a pretend blt. Totally not worth it. Would not recommend and will never...

I've been coming to Cookstown Pub Co. for years. I've had great service to okay service. But, as of August 10, 2022, we will not be returning! I'm done! Your food is good, when served on time and warm. I understand it was your "Wing Night Special " and it was busy, no excuse for how many waitresses you had on that afternoon! We waited 20 minutes at a table that was not cleared and two of the waitresses looked at our table on three separated times and just carried on as if we weren't there, that frigging pissed me off!!! You saw us walking in, so those empty glasses with receipts were there prior to us sitting down! Your place is obviously not hurting for business, since the Iron Horse Bar & Grill closed, so I guess one family not coming back to your establishment won't make a difference. I will NOT be recommending your restaurant ever again! I'll take my...

Best wings in the County (Simcoe)!! My wife and I ordered a triple order, and the wings were HUGE! Usually when we get wings (at most other pubs) - on a wing night special - they look rather anemic (and I am told that a lot of places reserve their Smallest wings for 'wing night'). It is rare to get 10 wings when ordering a lb at these other places - usually, you only get 8 - which makes me want to question whether or not I am truly getting my $ worth....... Not so at Cookstown Pub! I know perspective can get lost in cell phone pictures - so I left my knife in the pic for that reason! A triple order (24 wings minimum) and I'll bet there was almost 5 lbs of food! I have never been disappointed with the service, and the fare @ Cookstown Pub! Wing Nites are Mondays And Wednesdays - you don't wanna miss it!

Really loved the Wings @ this place 😍 of course the Beer 🍺🍻 was good too. But the wings omg, huge, saucy & cooked properly. 1/2 price on Monday & Wednesday can't be ignored lol. The "What a Jerk" flavored Wings were superb, Kansas City BBQ / Carribean Jerk, followed closely by "Sweet Baby Jack" also very good. Kansas City BBQ / Jack Daniel's... Service was excellent & friendly 😊. Looking forward to coming again soon! 🍽️ Ps.- it's September 16th 2024... Why are they still closed?. Why is it taking this long to reopen? Very strange...
