Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Invermere

My kids and I always enjoy going to DQ for a nice treat and never have any issues. I will say that I was disappointed today though as I went on to Google to check the hours and it said 11:00pm, which was perfect as we were just getting out of the lake at 9pm and knew we’d have enough time. We pulled up and the sign said “Open” but the doors were locked with hours on the door saying “closed at 9pm” and we were being waved at by someone on the inside, I’m assuming to tell us to go to the drive thru. I can’t use the drive thru due to vocal cord issues so we left. I had three very sad kiddos :( I think it would be a good idea to have clear business hours with in-restaurant vs drive thru on Google so that people have better idea ahead of time because just as we were pulling out, another car pulled in and as we were waiting to turn left, I saw the man shaking his head at the door so I’m assuming this is lost business and revenue for you by not being more clear. If I’d seen “restaurant closed at 9 but drive thru open until 11”, I wouldn’t have gone and disappointed three kids in the process. Go there for the ice cream and maybe the fries. But don't go there for any other cooked food. I went here because my son wanted ice cream after supper and I thought I would kill two birds with one stone by dining here and then getting ice cream after. Usually my experiences with other DQ hot food has been good for the most part. Well this one wasn't. The chicken tenders/fingers I ordered for my son were just not edible. They were over fried and looked burnt (probably double fried). My burger was of the same quality, the bun was hard and stale and the meat was cold. I didn't bother complaining but probably should have as I bought 3 meals that were about $10/meal. First parking was good. There are about 10 parking spots and based on how busy the place is that is enough . There is also a drive thru but they have a right turn and vehicles longer than 6.5m will not make the sharp corner.

We had 2 blizzards, the burgers and fries and other food is way too expensive to have a meal here. The blizzards were good but really m&ms are much better than smarties don't you think? But they only have smarties so consider that with your favorite blizzard.

The service was fast and friendly and good.

The atmosphere is the dining room of a DQ. For us it's ok but it was a little sticky if you know what we mean.

They have wash rooms here.
