O2's West — Restaurant in Jasper Place

Came here for a birthday on a quiet Sunday evening. Not busy at all. No reason for the poor service.

The server seemed stressed and flustered even though the place was nearly empty. I had to ask more than once for lime for my water and then we couldn't get a refill for the waters we had.

She also stood off to the side and seemed to stare at our table for several minutes. I believe she was writing down everyone's location at the table for the individual bills but the way she went about it made several of our group uncomfortable.

Due to the limited gluten free choices I ordered the nachos. Usually a safe bet at a sports bar. No such luck. Great toppings but the chips were brittle and burnt.

Poor service continued when we were finished eating and eating for plates to be removed. We shifted some empties to the table beside us. We also requested the birthday cupcakes to be retrieved from the fridge, twice. Finally we had to track down our server at the bar and ask again, at which time she brought them out for us.

The only time she was attentive was when she was wanting us to pay. I was in the middle of a conversation with my friend next to me when the server loudly tapped on the mobile debit machine she had placed in front of me and said it was waiting if I needed it. Unbelievable that she interrupted us! First because I hadn't asked for the machine yet, or indicated that's how I was intending to pay. Secondly because she could have started the payments on the other end of the table with people who were not in the middle of a conversation.

Overall the entire experience left me uninterested in returning. Unfortunate because I have only had positive experiences...

I went to this location yesterday and the food was great. The server seemed friendly. However the server added 3 dollars to the debit machine. When she handed me the debit machine she skipped right to the tip amount. She didn't offer me the debit receipt or leave it on the table as most servers would ask or leave it on the table.

She walked away and I asked her if I could have the debit receipt. She went and printed it off, she came to the table dropped it off and walked away quickly. (It wasn't busy). I checked the debut receipt vs the bill and noticed the three dollar added. Our total was 58.60 and she charged us 61.60. I went up to the bar to ask the bartender about it and the server came very quickly across the bar and asked if something was wrong before I could talk to the bartender. I asked her if there was a charge for using the debit machine and she said no. When I showed her the difference she was like oh. My mistake. And I stood there. She got kind of irritated and asked if I wanted my three dollars back. Of course I did... now I understand mistakes are made but it seems like an odd mistake. 58 and 61 and to the exact cents seems hard to mix up.

Wanting to review the O2s on 28th Ave in millwoods but for some reason I can't find the location. So anyway I give them 2 stars. Ordered creamy dill wings to share with my husband. ( his favourite food is wings) when they came to our table they where VERY over done and extremely dry, with hardly any dill flavour. Tasted more like old Alfredo sauce. I ordered the jerk chicken wrap and I was very excited, but then I started to eat it and it wasn't jerk chicken at all. The chicken was dry and no jerk flavouring at all, It was just a chicken wrap with way too much lettuce and onions then chicken and cheese. Very very disappointed. We were with a big group and we played pool, but to play another game we had to change in some dimes and nickels. The bar tender was a complete a-hole, refusing to take the change saying "I have to count this at the end of the night and don't need to be here until 4am counting your change." Our waitress came to our table to apologize and say he doesn't even take her change, and if anyone pays with dimes and nickels for their bill she has to pay out of her pocket to make up for the change because he won't take it as payment.
