To celebrate my third 21st birthday, my husband wanted to try a new restaurant out and he hit a home run with Haus Falkenstein! 🎂 Coming from a German background my husband especially loved the atmosphere in the restaurant and the vintage German music in the background. He even sang along with some of them and told us the history of some of the long-gone singers. Quite interesting! The whole place was super cozy and comfortable and lots of paraphernalia on the walls made it fun to look around while you're waiting for your meal. We had Nicole as our server and she was friendly and informative and very attentive. She made our delicious meal even more enjoyable! Our schnitzels were absolutely fantastic in wonderfully generous portions. Delicious and plentiful... what more can you ask for?! And as a bonus, when you order a full schnitzel meal and an Erdinger beer in the commemorative glass, you get to keep the glass! (Which of course we did. A great memento from a thoroughly enjoyable evening. 🍺) For dessert they offered some different gelatos such as mango lemon and apple pie! Apple pie gelato was a new one for me and it tasted delicious! Being environmentally friendly, their website advises you to bring your own Tupperware if you'd like to take leftovers home as they try not to use styrofoam etc. We did so! Wonderful idea. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant! Oh...and thank you Nicole for my complimentary Apple schnapps for my birthday, and the candle to blow out in my gelato!🕯️

Really good German restaurant that specialize in schnitzel. They have an enormous selection of schnitzels (according to their website 347 variety of pan fried schnitzel - Guiness World Record). Appetizers are "2 Bavarian Weisswürste," the sausages was delicious. The sausages has the perfect snap even though it is boiled. Sauerkraut is good as it is not too sour. And the Bavarian sweet mustard enhances the sausage as the mustard is not very sweet. The schnitzels are very good because it is perfectly breaded and the sauce works. I ordered Wild Jägerschnitzel with red wine. Jägerschnitzel is a mushroom sauce thus my dish included mix mushrooms with splash of red wine. Sides were Cesar salad and potatoes croquettes. The schnitzel is tender and you get 2 pieces of schnitzel. The sauce is creamy but not so creamy that you feel nauseous and perfect amount of seasoning. Lastly the potatoe croquettes was really good as it was deep fried and the insides was creamy. The Falkenstein schnitzel is good because the chanterelle sauce was creamy. If you decide to go to this restaurant I highly recommend making a reservation so that the chefs can portion out food on who is coming. Schnitzels are cook to order. I would come back to try the other schnitzels and other sausages.

Great traditional meal. We were sat very quickly without a reservation on a very busy Friday night. Our server quickly brought us two of the featured German draft beers and they were delicious. We were excited by the very large menu-predominantly schnitzel fifty different ways, but upon close inspection . . . It’s the same five ingredients, offered up how you want. Choose wisely. We chose two of the house specials; the Zigeunerschnitzel and the Jagerschnitzel. Our server informed us that each order was scratch made! Not sure on my order, because it was swimming in-sauce. I had the Jager schnitzel and it was ok. The bell pepper sauce coined as sweet-sour (not spicy), was a let down. It tasted ketchup infused. My meal came with good crispy fries and I had a side of mayo (euro tradition) The Zigeuner was ordered by my friend and the croquettes were a great traditional accompaniment, I tried his sauce, a home made bacon and mushroom which I was not blown away by. Watching some of the other meals coming out and I eyed up a schnitzel that looked fresh made, plumper, without sauce (lemon slice) and potato salad! I will order this next time.

Where does a person start, first attempt should have been a indication of the lack of service and professionalism. We were turned away when the restaurant had approx. 2/3rd of the tables open for service. They said to come back in about 1.5 hours and we just went to another establishment. The second attempt was productive but far from pushing the rating up past a fraction of 1 star. The appetizer came out fresh from the microwave with yes....canned mushrooms. Seeing that it was 4 pm we were the only ones in the restaurant, the sounds from the microwave could't be mistaken for anything else and then the appetizer came out.

1 order came out with a 1/2 can of mushrooms while the other one came out with fresh ones. Another on came out with pineapple and yes.....Kraft singles. I am German and have had the privilege of eating authentic German cuisine growing up. German schnitzel is something I am very familiar with and what they are trying to pass off as schnitzel is a bit of an insult. The food is very bland and a little salt or pepper might cover up the taste of something that seems to be far from an authentic schnitzel. The verities on the menu are some of the most unorthodox combinations and makes a person wonder if they are grasping at straws or trying to confuse the customers with variety. If they would have taken the time to watch a few cooking shows, they would understand that it's better to have 10 great things on a menu instead of 50+- bland things.

Food has come along way over the last 5-10 years and basic cooking will fall to the wayside rapidly, while authentic cooks will be making lasting impressions....without using canned mushrooms and Kraft cheese while trying to convince the customer that's the way it was back in the day. I'm curious to know if these are the same owners of the German restaurant up the street that mysteriously burnt down.

Reading some of the reviews, WOW......more justification. If you need to brag about your years on the field, it tells me that you food doesn't speak for itself. If you need to explain your finances to the customers while yelling at your customers in upper case.....tells me you realize your faults and are to busy blaming the customer instead of taking ownership of your actions.

Just my...

This was our second time here. the first time we were with a group. we had to have our bills split and it really threw her off. took forever for her to figure it out. we were helping her out...trying...kind of uncomfortable. Made such an impact I made a point of letting her know who's who right from the start the second time we visited which was last night. The reservation system is very abrupt. leave how many people date and time and if you don't hear back, you are confirmed . I have some anxiety and would have felt so much better with a quick text or vm to be sure. We were a party of nine and there was a severe shortage of servers. So drink service was horrible. The food was good. However, one of the meals had a hair in the salad. Server said sorry, said she didn't know who's hair it could be. Brought another meal but it took a long time. The young lady was given an apology, no offer to comp a dessert or something . and paid in full. Very very poor. then on top of it even after told her who was who for the bill, bsge couldn't figure it out. took forever to get out of there. She went away before the last person paid. we didn't know what was going on. He could have just walked away thinking one of us got his cheque. It was very bad. I won't set up another dinner or anything there. and your reply! horrendous! Shame on you. I guess the hair in the food was a bonus?! Shame. I would have paid 18% no problem . Shame on you....
