Amsterdam is a wonderfully authentic restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and excellent costumer service. If you are looking for quality food and service, this is the place to go in Kamloops. The food comes out on a hot plate ensuring that your meal is at the perfect temperature every time. Everything is delicious and perfectly cooked. They offer many vegan and vegetarian options making this the go-to place for us when our vegan friends come to visit. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about this restaurant.

I also had the privilege of sitting at the bar during the busiest time on a Sunday, where I was able to witness just how hard the staff work. They are going non-stop and working to ensure that everything from water jugs to syrup and ketchup are always full and ready to go, on top of taking and delivering orders, and tending to the completely full restaurant. I believe everyone should go and sit at the bar in Amsterdam at least once to gain an appreciation for the work that servers and kitchen staff do as well as an inside look of what the serving industry is like. All of this to say this is a 10/10 restaurant and we will be repeat...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Amsterdam and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff who made me feel right at home.

The restaurant itself has a charming and cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for starting your day with a delicious breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes available - from classic eggs and bacon to more unique offerings like dutch pancakes and many vegan options.

What really stood out to me, however, was how smoothly everything ran. The staff worked together like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that all tables were served promptly and efficiently. Despite being quite busy, there was never a sense of chaos or disorganization - just a calm and welcoming ambiance.

My partner and I got there towards the end of Saturday breakfast rush, so there was a lot of people, however we got a table right away. By the time we ordered our meals it had died down comletely and our server was polite and attentive, she dealt with my picky order with zero attitude or frustration, I am a bariatric patient so I subbed a bunch of ingredients as well as asked for the majority of the ingredients to be served in separate dishes. She had no issues with it at all which was really nice as sometimes my orders can be a lot for servers ro deal with depending on how busy it is or if back of house hassles them. The food was AMAZING!!!! very large filling portions, I could only finish 1/3 of my Avacado Benny's. My only critique would be that the bathroom was pretty grungy. I won't go into detail but I think the bathrooms should get a DEEP clean. The tables and booths were nice and clean so the eating area was perfectly fine, just the bathrooms.
