Moon Wok Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Kamloops

Any time i enter a chinese joint with (predominantly) white staff and only white patrons eating im kinda skeptical that it will be flavorless, uninspired take on north american chinese food that resembles TV dinners (we all know at least one place like this that is AWFUL)

BUT, i was extremely hungry so i ordered a combo E. Staff was incredibly nice and cheerful. It must be a prerequisite to only hire astonishingly gorgeous women and i was very impressed at how fast the food came out.

I got home and noticed my chicken was missing sweet and sour sauce. So i called and they misheard combo E for combo D (honest mistake, it happens in the kitchen sometime) they offered free sweet and sour chicken balls delivered as compensation but i didnt feel that was fair to their driver so i just drove the 2 minutes and grabbed my food. Before i even got out of my car one of those babes ran outside with a giant portion of chicken balls. Outstanding.

First bite: was expecting that red frozen sweet and sour sauce almost all north american places use, was expecting the generic fast food chicken balls that are 90% batter... I was WRONG. Big meaty juicy chicken balls with a thin layer of crispy batter and the sauce was different. Tasted real, id guess they make it in house . The rest of the meal was fantastic. The portions were HUGE so i have leftovers. Beef tasted more authentic than most places and all the veg was fresh.

10/10 hot servers 10/10 customer service 10/10 portion sizes. Food was EXCELLENT

Highly recommend this place to those who want legit chinese food and they...

I have ate at this restaurant (30+ X). The first time I had just ordered on the phone for pick up just for myself. (I ordered the combo c) And it was sooo good.

My grandparents from salmon arm ..Chinese food is their all time favorite.. BUT not any one will due.. only the best ! Lol. One day while they were visiting they asked me THAT QUESTION ! That question you prayed you wouldn never be asked, " Summer! ...where can you go to get some GOOD Chinese that's also not going to cost you a arm and a leg ? Haha

I have barely eaten at any Chinese joints since I moved here 6 years ago.. and I have never been one who really cares for Chinese honestly..

So I told them moonwok as I remembered loving it when I had ordered in the past .. and I really remembered the feeling of actually feeling good when I was done eating... Not tired , or my guts turning and I wasn't hungry A hour later .. also was a great price.

Needless to say.. it is at the top of their Chinese favs.. and when in town ..it's a must eat here before they head back home ..

3 others which include friends family and Bf Whom I had tooken them to moonwok for their first time .. and never regretted it . Some eat here frequently or it's the go to spot for a special occasion..

Best Chinese food in Kamloops, hands down! Our family has ordered take out a few times now and we are always saying ‘ wow, this is really good! ‘ every time we order.

The portions are huge - lots to feed a family. The flavour in the dishes speak for itself - everything is always super tasty and lots of good flavour.

Their menu is quite extensive, catering to all kinds of tastes.

I’m leaving this review because last night we ordered take out, and my son wanted to add an extra dish of noodles. It was busy so I waited inside my car while it was being prepared, and one of the kind staff brought out my whole order to me to my vehicle as soon as it was done. He said he didn’t want me to wait longer than needed. :)

So thank you for the exceptional service and amazing food.
