The Office Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Kamloops

We live nearby and started going to the friday night karaoke. Some nights have been great but we've had a number of terrible experiences. The food is very hit or miss. Not sure if it's 2 different cooks? One night my husband complained his wine was rancid (most people at the table agreed) so he called the waitress over and told her. She took the glass, took a sip, said 'it tastes fine' and handed it back...he awkwardly refused to take it back after that so she did bring him a new glass. Another night I had the chicken ceasar and the chicken had definitely gone bad. I sent it back and asked for one without chicken. They brought me a new one which was very nice and fine except 2 of the kitchen staff then separately came out of the kitchen, walked through the eating area to look at me out of the corner of their eye and then go back in the kitchen. It made me very uncomfortable and I didn't really want to eat the salad after that (maybe I'm paranoid?) but I did as I didn't want to be rude. These were the worst two experiences but there have been other minor things...slow service, food wasn't as ordered, very inconsistent in the dishes (one night it's made excellent, next time it's terrible and completely different). Went here for the first time today for lunch, ordered the garlic butter prawns and chicken quesadilla.

Prawns were great, a big bowl for $6, quesadilla was amazing. Over and inch and a half thick, loaded with cheese, and made to perfection.

Bar was super busy and the waitress did a great job.

Not sure if it was the manager or the owner but he was doing the rounds and making sure everyone was having a great time and was really listening to what people had to say.

We liked it so much that I suggested it for dinner and my wife and I ordered the nachos, calamari, and of course the quesadilla.

Amazing, can’t say enough, AND, they were doing music Trivia when I got there (I wasn’t participating but I did “win” from the bar :p) which was a blast and the same manager/owner offered me a pop while I waited for my food to be made.

It’s the little things that we rest the big things on, and this place is full of them.

New to the area and decided to try this pub. I had a double smash burger and noticed it had an off smell to it, I ate about half and started to feel off and by the the time we got home about 30 minutes later I wasn't feeling very well. I had a single rum and coke and was shocked when we got our bill and my highball was $9.25...that is rediculous for a single highball. I had planned on getting another but the server didn't come back but thank goodness otherwise I would have been charged another $9.25. The worst thing was I used the washroom and it smelled and the toilets had brown slime where the water sits. These tiolets desperately need to be cleaned. I wished I had taken a picture they are discusting. We won't go back to this pub, especially when there are so many pubs in Kamloops that have good food, service and...
