Our family was on a marathon 10-hour drive from Calgary to Vancouver, and by the time we were an hour from Kamloops (around 6:45 PM), hunger was definitely setting in! Knowing we still had a significant leg to Vancouver after Kamloops, we called Flavour of India to see if they could help us with a quick turnaround meal. We requested if they could have our food ready for our arrival, and they absolutely delivered beyond our expectations! Within literally 2-3 minutes of us walking in, our delicious order was brought to our table. We were able to enjoy our incredibly tasty meal and be back on the road in an astonishing 20 minutes. This quick service was a true lifesaver, saving us valuable time and energy, and allowed us to reach Vancouver by 11:30 PM. Beyond the fantastic efficiency, the food itself was truly top-notch and delicious – a perfect, flavorful break from our journey. The interior was inviting, and it was a pleasant surprise to learn it's also a viewpoint hotel. A massive thank you to the entire Flavour of India team, with a special shout-out to VL and SS for their outstanding efforts in making our brief stop so seamless and enjoyable. Even though our visit was short, it was a thoroughly positive and memorable experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Flavour of India! You saved our evening!

Flavors of India is all about the location. Perched up on the mountain, it offers some of the most breathtaking views of Kamloops Valley below—especially around sunset. You could honestly come just for the view and leave satisfied. But luckily, the food adds to the experience too. We went with the thali, which was a great way to sample a little bit of everything. The flavors were rich, authentic, and really hit the spot. We also did samosas and tandoori paneer, both of which were really delicious! Each dish had its own character, and nothing felt watered down or rushed. Speaking of rushed—if only the service had been! While the staff were friendly, the wait times were definitely longer than expected. It took quite a while for food to arrive, and even longer to flag someone down for basic things. The restaurant didn’t have too many customers, and yet the service was very sluggish! If you’ve got time to spare and want a memorable dining experience with a view that’ll stick with you, it’s still worth the visit. Just don’t come starving or in a hurry.

Flavors of India is really all about the location. Set up on the mountain against some of the most breathtaking backdrop of Kamloops Valley, I recommend you come just for the view and leave satisfied. The ambience is excellent, and the servers were friendly (special shoutout to Sakshi). Unfortunately, the food itself was a huge letdown. I ordered the lamb biriyani and asked for “medium” spice (not mild) but the flavors were extremely bland. It tasted mostly of salt, and oddly, there were bell peppers in the biriyani, which I’ve never seen before. The dish felt watered down and lacked the richness and depth you’d expect from authentic Indian cuisine. Overall, it didn’t taste authentic at all. The wait times were also longer than expected, and when the food arrived, I was quite disappointed. Prices were okay, but I didn’t find it worth the quality. The only redeeming qualities here are the view and the friendliness of the staff. Unless you’re staying in a hotel nearby and want a convenient option, I would not recommend this place.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Great Dining Experience – Highly Recommend! Halal Food.

We recently visited Kamloops for a holiday from Vancouver and were keen to find delicious, authentic Indian food that was also halal. After a quick search, we came across Flavours of India and gave them a call. We were instantly impressed by Garima, who took our call and so reassuringly confirmed that their food was indeed halal. Her warm and professional manner immediately put us at ease.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by Sakshi, who promptly ushered us to a fantastic table with an absolutely breathtaking view of the beautiful Kamloops scenery – it was the perfect start to our evening! When we noticed our table was a little wobbly, Sakshi and Garima gracefully and immediately moved us to a much more stable one, demonstrating excellent attentiveness.

Garima made the effort to come over and personally meet us, once again assuring us about the halal preparation, which we deeply appreciated. She was a truly wonderful host, engaging with us beyond just taking orders, and provided excellent recommendations from the menu that perfectly suited our preferences. Throughout our dinner, Sakshi continued to serve us with grace and professionalism, frequently checking in to ensure everything was to our liking and that our meal was progressing smoothly.

The food itself was delicious, but it was the incredible service from both Garima and Sakshi that truly elevated our experience. Their genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor made our visit memorable. A huge thank you to both Garima and Sakshi for making our holiday dinner in Kamloops so enjoyable...

I recently visited for their advertised buffet and overall, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the food was acceptable, it was evident that the owner attempted to cut costs by providing an abundance of appetizers rather than offering a balanced selection that included equal amounts of curries and breads. Additionally, I recommend including biryani along with the white rice for a more appealing variety.

The quality of the curries was below expectations, lacking the rich flavors and authenticity one would anticipate. Furthermore, when it came to desserts, the restaurant fell short. Despite only offering one dessert option, they ran out and provided us with a single container of gulab jamun containing just 8 tiny pieces for a party of nine. This presentation was unappealing and impractical, with everyone having to share from one container with a single spoon.

To top it off, the bill included a mandatory 18% gratuity. While I typically don’t mind paying a gratuity, this charge felt unjustified given the average service and the apparent cost-cutting measures.

Overall, restaurant needs significant improvements in both food quality and service to justify their pricing and gratuity policy. I hope they consider these points to enhance their customers' dining experience in the future.

Thank you so much for the reply

I think you are mistaken about the table .Nobody from our table dint order anything other than the advertised buffet

I think if that is the criteria you might have to train your staff on how to...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Flavours of India with a group of five people, and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and set the perfect tone for an enjoyable evening.

The cuisine at Flavours of India was absolutely mouthwatering. Each dish was crafted with genuine Indian flavors that were both rich and aromatic. We sampled a variety of dishes, from appetizers to main courses, and every bite was a testament to the chef's expertise. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was exquisite. The chef deserves a perfect 10/10 for the culinary delights that made our meal exceptional.

Our server, Garima, played a significant role in enhancing our dining experience. She was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. Garima ensured that our needs were met promptly and that we were comfortable throughout our meal. Her recommendations were spot on, and her knowledge of the menu helped us choose the perfect dishes to suit our tastes.

Overall, our dining experience at Flavours of India was nothing short of outstanding. The combination of delectable food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere made it a night to remember. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delightful Indian dining experience. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or on a special occasion, Flavours of India is...
