I've saved Mittz Kitchen in my Place to go list for quite long time since I've heard a lot of good reviews. Finally I decided to visit and it was so WORTH IT. My last visits were to both O'Bryan places and the quite bad experiences from both the places made me feel like I should go for my comfort food rather than trying anymore new restaurants. So I was on the way to a comfortable restaurant and suddenly decided to take a deviation to Mitrz Kitchen. I'm personally thanking Kiara and other staffs for the wonderful evening they gave us. You all were so understanding and always kept an eye on our requirements and your attention to details were really amazing. It was super crowded and Kiara was more than happy to accommodate us and helped us throughout. I left a little on the Pulled Chicken Poutine plate and the way she forced us to finish that little was really sweet of her. We did finish it too. Now the food was so amazing too. Pulled Chicken Poutine was such an amazing food that put an end to my cravings for a comfort food. Crispy fries with juicy chicken and thick gravy was super good. Chicken tacos were exciting and the super tangy Mangoes in it gave an extra kick to it. NY Steak in sandwich was cooked exactly how I wanted it to be. It was super juicy and super tender with exact fat and flavors. Pulled chicken sandwich actually reminded me of Shawarma and I always used to love shawarma. We could not finish the sandwich because of the high quantity so out next morning break fast became sorted. Strawbasil lemonade was too good and the crushed raspberry in it was really interesting. It was the first time I tried Harper's trail riesling and I actuallu liked it. The tangy raisin taste was not overwhelming but was perfect for the pallet especially with the Chicken Poutine. Thank you again Mittz Kitchen team for an amazing dinner and big thanks to the helping hands in the front end especially Kiara. Finally, I'm pretty sure that you guys did not buy that Mango for Tacos from any stores since it was super tangy and fresh. Please tell me from where you're purchasing those amazing...
Read moreWe reserved a table on may 10th/2025 for 5 pm for a party of 6 that ended up being 5 people :) we were seated in the middle section.
I always like to start with the positives of anywhere we try. So the atmosphere was really nice. My daughter wasn't a fan of the music they had on but I liked it and it wasn't too loud. I really liked the vibe over all. The food was good. We had meat loaf, crusted haddock, a mittz burger with bleu cheese mushrooms and bacon with house salad and a 6 oz Ribeye with Brussels and some sort of potatoe. Plus cheese bread. The steak and burger were so good. Flavorful, balanced, and visually appealing. The fish and meatloaf were also very flavorful, but the dishes were not visually appealing. They should consider adding some color to both plates. They were very bland looking. Thankfully, they tasted good. Would definitely recommend the food.
The downside the service was not good (for us) and apparently the other tables the same waitress had as a couple coming in after us waited at least 15 min (maybe more) before a different waitress asked them if they had been helped. She never cleared our empties. Never asked if my dad wanted another beer (until the end of dinner) we never did get the salt and pepper we asked for and we had to ask a different waitress for a dessert menu because ours was asked but never came back. She was pleasant but slow and forgetful. The other 2 waitresses there seemed very efficient as they were helping her tables on top of their own. I never like to complain about someone trying to earn a living, but it just really seemed like she didn't care much. We both dropped our tips down to 12%, which honestly was probably too much. I won't sit in her section when we go back, which we will because overall it was a very nice dinner. It was a shame to have it spoiled by the service. Kudos to the other two...
Read moreAvoid this place. I ate here tonight and ordered a strawberry basil lemonade (pointed to it on the menu non alcoholic drink $7), got my drink (didn't taste like alcohol), then at the end of dinner the server Makayla brought the bill, realized she didn't add our drinks to the bill, then came back with the new one. I realized after paying that my drink was $14 which seemed high for a non alcoholic drink. I asked her about this and if the drink was alcoholic she said yes. I told her I didn't order an alcoholic one and she told me she always asks if they want a cocktail (spoiler alert: she did not ask me this - I also confirmed that she did not by asking my friend who was eating with me). I am very obviously pregnant and would also have said NO if she asked me if I wanted the cocktail or the alcoholic version (wasn't aware there even was an alcoholic version because I pointed to the $7 non alcoholic one on the menu). She was very indifferent about her mistake and telling me it was my mistake was very infuriating. I spoke to the manager Jenna afterwards and I asked her if she had spoken to the server about my concern and she said she had mentioned the "miscommunication". Said sorry quickly and insincerely and said I can leave gift vouchers. I don't want gift vouchers I was more upset about the fact that the server made a mistake then proceeded to gas light me about it. If that is the attitude of the staff I can't imagine the owners care much about their patrons either. I've been here many times and I will never return to this place after this incident, handled SO poorly and with so...
