Outstanding Service and Delicious Food at Mary Brown’s!

I had the pleasure of visiting Mary Brown’s where the restaurant is managed by Manpreet Kaur, and I must say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the place was clean, welcoming, and had a warm atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

Manpreet Kaur is an incredible manager who clearly leads by example. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication to customer satisfaction truly shine through in every aspect of the restaurant. You can tell she genuinely cares about both her team and every guest who walks through the door. The staff were friendly, the service was fast, and everything was well-organized.

And of course — the food! The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, the taters were hot and fresh, and everything tasted delicious. It’s clear the kitchen is well-run and that quality is a top priority here.

I realize that this review is late in coming, but as I drove past this Mary Browns the other day, my husband and I were looking for a place to pick up food. I mentioned chicken but we both instantly said “Not this one!” The reason is this. Last August we stopped in and ordered a four piece meal along with other items. When we opened the package up, there were only three pieces in the package. I immediately went to the counter and showed the girl at the till and she said they would get another piece shortly. We waited 20 minutes. When I went back to ask about it, there was a different woman there and when I explained that we were still waiting she said that she personally put the order together and that we were trying to pull a fast one on them and would not be giving us another piece. I asked for the manager and was told she was the manager. She was incredibly rude and was trying to shame me in front of the other customers by accusing me of being a thief. It's not everyday I am as unimpressed with a new restaurant as I was trying out this place. Staff was friendly, and courteous. The food however was completely uninspiring. We bought a Big Mary sandwich combo, a regular nuggets, and a 3 piece dinner. The chicken tasted like a milder version of KFC, but was moist. The nuggets were teeny bit dry, we chose the honey mustard sauce which was more honey than we like. We chose the macaroni salad, and potato salad as the sides, deciding that cole slaw tends to be disappointing in general no matter where you eat it. Macaroni salad was also sweeter than expected, but not inedible. I don't know what they did to the potato salad but it was both tasteless and somehow unpalatable, a thick glop of chopped up potatoes, and mashed potato with no seasoning to speak of.
