Ive have never been so rudely treated in my life at a restaurant. We waited almost 2 hours AND NOT 1 PERSON TALKED TO US. No one even smiled in our general direction. After 5 minutes of waiting, the power goes out for about 10ish minutes. So we waited through it, because obviously no one told us to leave, and after about 10 minutes it came back on. Two large groups then were seated and we waited. We waited for almost 2 hours, line backing out the door. 5 waitresses, not one word. I see over 6 booths open, no words. After almost 2 hours of waiting, the cook comes out and says we are closing the kitchen because the power went out for 10 minutes and complained saying how do i get people to pay (even though the power was back on). My mother and i were annoyed and my mom just want to know why no one said anything before, but they talked over my mother as she was asking why no one else told us. He said he was one person in the kitchen (if only there were 5 waitresses that were going into the back to get your food then you could ask them to say something to the 15 people waiting patiently at your doors). My mom asked why other people were seated after the power went back on and why they had to close when the power was back on (and had been for over an hour). Their answer, "it could go back out". So after being degrated to just 'ladies' (i think you had to be there but after 15 times being associated as just 'lady' as if you are gnats) we left, obviously. We went to the Boston Pizza, who also had lost power and was backed up but they explained this to us and they still seated us and we enjoyed our food and left them a big tip.

So, I will never ever return to this disrespectful restaurant and i recommened that if you want your time respected and your words acknowledged, you shouldnt either.

P.s....

So I was having a Murphy's law kind of day and we had a not so great experience at another restaurant so we decided to try Casey's. They sat us on the patio, the server ( I think her name was Emily or Emma maybe?) went above any beyond. We never had to wait for a drink, the food was quick, accurate and tasted ahhhhmazing. We noticed the manager was going out of his way to assist on the patio even rearranging the furniture for someone that needed the shade. That was lunch... since the whole covid thing most restaurants had odd hours so we went back to Casey's for dinner. We were met with apologies about having to wait, but really we only waited maybe 5 mins. The same manager from earlier had sat us and our bartender served us, She was very courteous and attentive despite being busy at the bar top. Both servers provided top notch service and made a point of conversing with us and making us feel at home. The recommendations we're on point and to top it off at the end of the night the manager came out after close and check to make sure our cab was still coming. Overall I highly recommend this place to any traveller's wanting to stop for a pint or a bite, very reasonable pricing compared to other restaurants...

Called up to check what time last orders would be so that we wouldn't feel to rushed and wasn't keeping staff behind on the holiday...

I called at 7.45pm and was told 8.45pm was last orders... we arrived at 8.15pm ...Walked in the restaurant, we were completely ignored for 10 mins ... then we were sat down and the server said we could only order burgers... we tried to order a steak but he said we didnt have time to have that because they closed at 9pm... I explained we called and was told last orders was only at 8.45pm... he decided to be really rude and argue with me over it.

Guy with the curly hair and glasses needs to be let go, he's doing your business no favors.

We asked for the manager and he was extremely nice, said he would cook us what we want but by this time, we weren't feeling the vibe anymore so decided to finish the drinks the manager offered to cover for us and left.

I understand its the end of the day on a holiday Monday but this was terrible...

One of the stops from our road trip to Ontario from the Yukon. Casey's Grill Bar is located near the INN where we had reservations. The reception lady was polite and assisted us in our table. Since we are not familiar with the place and feel like it is only ideal for adults, the staff was really friendly with my 11 y/o The food was great and big servings too.

Drinks - The sangria was watered down and could've been better. Food - We had the cheese tortellini and buffalo strips. They were both tasty (although I was hoping for in-house made tortellini for the price). The fries were very good. Dessert - tried the cheesecake and coffee bar. Both were delicious. Would go back to try more items on the menu.
