Its a rare occasion the order is right the first time but now its become a running joke. The order is never right despite the readback from server. Food is sub par. Being in Agassiz you may wish to pack some Immodium if you are unfortunate enough to eat here. This evening they once again screwed the order up and actually took the plate back, removed the wrong items and returned the plate without even an apology. X2 adults and x2 kids and the bill was $140. Table next to us got top notch service (ordered after but served before our table) and included complimentary desert but not shockingly they were majority of Asian descent and it wasn’t the first time we have seen this behaviour. Racist. If you are caucasian its a different story. I didn’t tip. We wont be back. Heard theres a GREAT new sushi place Ocean Sushi in Harrison Hot Spring we intend to support. Wont support this half rate racist...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed with this restaurant. There were eight of us dining, and only one child wanted pizza, while the rest of us were interested in sushi. We politely asked the owner if it would be possible to bring in a pizza, but our request was declined. We explained multiple times that only one child wanted pizza and asked if there could be any flexibility, yet the owner remained firm in refusal. We were genuinely shocked—why be so rigid, especially when it concerns a child? Initially, we thought the owner might be concerned about food allergies, so we clarified that it would only be a simple cheese pizza, but the owner still said no. We are very upset about this experience. Perhaps the food at this restaurant is excellent, but the owner’s lack of understanding and consideration leaves much...
Read moreWe ordered toro sashimi at a premium price but received dry, white tuna instead, not the expected pink, fatty belly of tuna. Despite showing pictures from a Google search to prove our point, the staff refused a refund until the chef intervened.
This is unacceptable. If you run a Japanese restaurant, professionalism is expected, or at the very least, a willingness to correct misinformation about your offerings.
Having dined at numerous sushi restaurants in Tokyo and Toronto, I've never encountered such a careless mistake. Moreover, the server's attempt to charge us for toro when serving WHITE tuna was deeply disappointing.
Additionally, we ordered a California roll at the start, but it wasn't served until after we'd finished our other dishes. The staff then claimed they had just started...
