After many visits, the hype is over for the Broken Whisk for my family and me. First - It was my husband’s 54th birthday on the 23rd of July and we decided to take him here because he asked for a restaurant who will have a great margarita. Well - I will tell you; it was a mistake. We drove from Chilliwack just for this purpose. Unfortunately, it was the worst we had. I cannot believe they served it in the first place. The drink had no strawberry syrup or even fake strawberries in it. When it came to the table it was pure sugar, white and warm as there was not enough ice in it for blending. Hubs changed his drink to a Caesar, and it came to him black and tasteless just like mine except the goodies on mine were the best part. Second - The Food. The food is amazing, other than the weird change they made to their beet salad, everything was great! Lots of leftovers. Third - Their hours have changed, and they are no longer open on Sundays, Mondays, or Tuesdays. Fourth - I do not think they have AC on the restaurant side It was so HOT.

I received a response from the owner. Another reason we will not return.

Response from the owner 3 weeks ago Won’t get into you whole rant but we haven’t been open on Sunday Monday Tuesday for 3 years

Yes we have AC How can even basic Clamato have no flavour ?? It’s Motts on its own it has flavour So 1 star cause you don’t like our Margaritas which you got a regular margarita not a strawberry. Have a nice day I will look into...

My partner and I went there for dinner last week. We were there early for dinner at 4:30 pm when they first open. We were seated at a dirty table and the chairs had crumbs on them. We asked if we could have a booth at the front but she said no they were going to be too busy later on. The table we were given was a old treadle sewing !machine with the bar in the middle. Both of us kept hitting it and it was so very uncomfortable 😣!!! I was ordering the salmon bun with salad and asked if I could have the salmon in a salad leaf....she said that they don't have any and she could just have the bun removed. Then I asked her what kind of salad dressing did they have? She replied only one kind and it's ranch. (Not my favorite I prefer an oily dressing) My meal comes and my salad is a heaping plate of greens right out of the container and just saturated I ranch dressing and my little piece of salmon buried under it!! My partner had the schnitzel. The corners were so thin and completely over done and the same sauce they put on the schnitzel was on the baked potato that was only half cooked. The potato was raw in the middle..beets were awful ..too much cardomon or something. All in all we will not be back !!! Interesting enough the front booths were never occupied by anyone when we left! No one even came and asked how are meals were or if we needed anything! Absolutely terrible...

I’ve tried this restaurant out a couple times now and will keep making the drive out there! I’ve tried breakfast and lunch and hope to soon check out their Wednesday date nights. They offer such a variety and are always adding and changing occasional evening dinners offering specials.

Be sure to check their Facebook page for updates!

I’ve started off pretty basic first with the traditional eggs Benny! It is my go-to breakfast meal and I’m not joking when they pile on the ham!

For lunch we tried a couple of appies (karange(?) pork bites and deep fried pickles.

The pork was super delicious and crunchy. The sauce that comes with is a perfect pair!

The pickles - oh my goodness I am a pickle fiend and I thought these were whole pickles on the plate but they were halves! Super juicy super crispy! I didn’t ask but they must be home made pickles. Absolute perfection.

I also tried the pulled pork sandwich with fries and everything was cooked perfectly. The pork wasn’t over sauced hiding any of the flavour. The fries were super crispy with a mashed potato texture inside.

The washroom is very cute and fully private from gaps in any doors. It’s a two stall in the woman’s with nice fixtures.

Tons of “country” decor but it gives this place its own style.

Will be making the trip to try...

Well, I just had my Broken Whisk cherry popped...... and hot damn. I need a cigarette after that session. The food made me question my religion and convert to the holy book of the Whisk. Fantastic owners and staff. Super polite and friendly. It felt like coming home to a family dinner, knowing the food was going to be bonkers. I had the lobster burger which consisted of a fried lobster tail on the top of the bun, a nice, soft, yet doesn't fall apart in your hand bun, sauces, fixin's, Mac and cheese (yes, Mac and cheese) and a juicy beef patty. KA-BLAW! also, the Atlantic lobster dinner was consumed. That, too, was a treat for the senses. Cooked perfectly, the meat came out with ease, unlike other establishments that overcook it, and it sticks to the shell. Come and enjoy a fantastic meal with amazing prices as well. I'm not kidding. You will be shocked at how well reasonably priced everything is. If you've taken the chance to read this far, Go, get in your car and drive your A$$ to the Broken Whisk. You will do your stomach and you soul a favor.
