"Very Slow Service, with a Side Of Deer In Headlights". I've been here a few times in the past and overall pretty good although we have noticed the service getting slower and slower - the most recent visit illustrated that fact perfectly. There were 7 of us in line, one poor woman was waiting 15+ minutes at the side counter where they offer coffee and blended drinks, they just couldn't get to her and I'm surprised at her tenacity for waiting so long when another coffee shop was 60 seconds walk away. I specifically went in to order 2 gluten free sandwiches, and the reason for two stars is because they actually do carry Gluten free bread. After at least 15 minutes wait, all the while observing a scene of wonder and what can only be described as overwhelm meets underwater circus performance. The ladies - one young and one older, clearly couldn't hear anything well because of the music volume and spoke at such a low volume it was comical to watch the back and forth of pardon, huh, eh, and what? going on - but the frustration came from how slowly they were moving and putting the orders together. You'd think they were handling the jewels of the nile afraid to drop them and risk God's wrath - it truly was like moving underwater. I finally shuffle up to the front and begin to rattle off my order, horrified to discover that they are out of gluten free bread. I said in an annoying tone how special it was to wait 20 minutes to find that out, and why they didn't have a notice on the door - but it just wasn't my day. Very disappointing experience, service really needs to be sped up, and when you run out of key items, make it known. Think of these things that might upset your customer and anticipate...
Read moreFirst and foremost - cross contamination galore at this location. Same gloves were worn for 3 sandwiches for 3 different people, the employees were tossing cheese back in the cold container, pushing lettuce off a sandwich back into the bins, peppers (a known allergen) put back into the peppers bin after coming into contact with the bread, meat, cheese, and lettuce, contaminating ALL of the aforementioned food storage containers. They even went so far as to put the now cut and soggy bread back into the hold for another unfortunate customer to eat.
They forgot to double up on the cheese on sandwich, despite a friendly reminder, didn't put bacon on my sandwich as requested, and then didn't even wrap the sandwich up properly - it unraveled by the time I got it home to eat.
All in all, a pathetic experience. Just pathetic, no other words for it. They employees appeared lazy and unethical, only communicating in their own language and ignoring the requests of the customers standing right in front of them, to the point I needed my sandwich started over from the beginning because they put peppers (I'm allergic) on when I asked for cucumbers.
As I said - a very...
Read moreI almost never come to subway. I tried to order a panini and was noticeably disappointed by the ‘ciabatta’, which looked, to me, like overly ambitious flatbread. When I asked about it the first staff member offered to change to a different bread and toast instead of grill. This would have left me a happy customer but as she was doing this the other staff member came over and seemed to be giving her some sort of talking to. This staff member proceeded to give me distainful glares for the remainder of our visit, especially as my husband and I discussed whether or not to get our toddler anything. There was no one waiting behind us. My husband used to work at subway and informed me after we sat down that the bread was disappointing because most of the loaves hadn’t risen properly, indicating they hadn’t been proofed properly. He ordered the meatballs which he noticed were discoloured because they had been stored too long. They only gave us one napkin and no extras were available on our side of the counter. The restaurant was also...
