Montana’s BBQ & Bar — Restaurant in Kindersley

My wife and I have eaten at your establishment numerous times since you opened in Kindersley and have come to expect reasonably good food and good service.

This being the day before Valentines day, I thought I would surprise my wife with a nice meal out. I realize that due to Covid19, there are stresses that must be managed, but when we had a meal with you folks just before Christmas, you seemed to have handled stuff fairly well.

Tonight was not good. When we were seated, the waitress brought menus, never took a drink order. I thought it strange when about 3-4 minutes later, she was back, still no drink order and asked for our food order. We finally got in our drink order but it never showed up. As my wife is gluten intolerant, we made it very clear, no corn bread on her order. The food came fairly quickly, still no drinks and no cutlery. My wife's plate had cornbread on it, so it had to go back. Still no drinks and no cutlery. Finally, cutlery showed up and we had to ask again for drinks. They finally came and about 10 minutes later my wife's food showed up. Nobody ever checked to see how our meal was and I had to wave my hand in the air to get someone's attention for a refill on my soda.

As I said earlier, you folks have been very good before. We do enjoy the food at your establishment. Tonight, well, the service stank. I do hope next time we come, your staff will be...

Very frustrated between the service at the Kindersley and North Battlefords locations.

I am gluten free and ordered the apple pecan salad and in Kindersley was given pecans. In North Battleford they took them off saying they were not gf. The waitress seemed annoyed to bring the ingredient list for me to look at. I tried looking online but couldn’t find the list. The supervisor brought his phone with the ingredient list and when we said it was gf he said it has nuts in it. He did not seem to understand what we were trying to say.

We had someone else’s meal brought to us at first.

We had our appetizers for maybe five minutes and then our main meals were brought.

My son’s vegetables were soggy.

My daughter ordered a cheeseburger with only mayo, it came with lettuce and tomato.

We had to ask for drinks.

Our waitress never took any dirty dishes during the meal.

We mentioned our concerns to our waitress and the supervisor. No amounts were taken off.

In Kindersley, the orders were all correct. We never had to ask for drinks, our table was always clear of dirty dishes. We could joke around with the waitress. She was amazing with other customers. An...

Wouldn't recommend this to my dying grandmother , nor would i you. Dear montana's after experiencing a less than par waitress who insured me you didn't have gingerale , or served it on premise , i proceeded to explain to her where she could find it. As i also asked for crispy bacon, she assured me it was already cooked and why would i need it any more crispy.. While waiting over 45 min for my meal to show. I got my appies with my meal. Which were both cold.. Bringing this to the attention of the waitress. All i got was "oh" .. I have had more than one experince at montana's . It seems to be the problem going on is the management team. How is it that my meals are coming out together? Where is the leadership in the kitchen? Why is it i see the managers sitting around? yet have waitresses not understand what they serve on the menu? I really believe montanas needs someone to come in secretly as a worker and see what has been going on in this establishment
