Sunset Grill — Restaurant in King

I will never eat here again!!! Poor customer service and poor quality overpriced food!!! We were celebrating a birthday at work and decided to order from the resturant because it is down the street from where we work. There were 6 of use who placed an order. I ordered a veggie omlette with toast and homefries... right off the menu as stated. We had a team member picked up our order. The homefries wew cold and undercooked. I worked around it and dug into the veggiee omelette. There was a piece if meat in it. I placed it a side and again another piece of meat which turned to me bacon. Again i put it aside and tood another bit and tasted more bacon. I called the resturant and spoke to a young lady. What i told her what had happened she passed the phone to someone else. I spoke to the other rep and had to explain 3 time what had happened. She offered to replace my order with something else. I order 3 scrambled eggs, and homefries. I picked it up and was met with the young lady who answered the phone and contined to speak in different language whenever i asked her a question. I asked her to speak english, she bent over the counter and got in my face and stated “ i dont choose too”. The other rep that decided to “help” me blamed the “system” and the cook for meat in my omlette instead of taking ownership of the situation. She wasnt even going to give me my money back i had to ask her for the difference and was also told that some meat in my omlette wasnt the end of the world. This was completely offensive. I asked for the managers number and was only given her name and asked me not to call on the weekend or monday but wait. I dont usually write reviews but this time i though i would.... bottom line dont eat here because if you order a veggie omlette you will get a nasty surprise! No quality control and rude...

I always want to support local businesses and will not write bad reviews but today, I had share about the terrible experience we had at this restaurant. We Went early for Mother’s Day breakfast and had the worst service. It took over 45 mins to get 2 simple breakfasts after asking them twice. Larger groups that came in after us got their food wayyy before us and ate. The server looked like she could care less that we were there. Never checked in on us once. I can’t remember her name but I know it started with an S, according to our bill. After inquiring about our food the first time she said she could bring us the pancakes which took forever. When she dropped off the pancakes she said she would get the syrup. She walked away and started cleaning and never came back. We had to ask someone else. I asked her again about our food an hour after we had arrived and she said it was coming and they had large orders. Our food wasn’t even hot when we finally got it. In the time we were waiting, I saw people carrying their own cups to the cashier asking for coffee refills, a customer had to track down our server telling her they need to order and when we were paying, I saw our server speak very rudely to another customer. All we got was a “sorry your food took so long”. Needless to say, we will definitely not eat this location again. I get that it was busy and we went super early to be able to eat and leave. If I could give zero...

You can look at my other reviews. I don't generally write negative reviews, but in this case, I think it's important because we came based on the reviews that we found here, but we had a very negative experience.

We arrived as a group of 11. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They got off to a great start. The restaurant was large and seemed clean. Unfortunately, it all went south from there.

Food was brought to the tables at various times so that some people were completely done eating before others started.

I had the Banquet Burger. My burger was quite tasty. Cooked well and the topping were great, but the potatoes that were served with it were raw. Without exaggeration, they weren't really edible. (Three people left their potatoes on the plate. Others picked at the smaller cooked pieces.) The menu says the banquet burger was served "with veggies" which in this case meant a slice of carrot and one of cucumber that both looked like they had been taken off a plate that was sent back. The platters that the food were served on were sticky as if they were handled by cooks and then never cleaned.

Toast was cold and hard.

Finally, when we received our bills, besides the error on the bill, there was an automatic 15% gratuity added to the entire bill including to the tax. I wasn't going to argue about the automatic gratuity. Instead I will never go to this or any other Sunset...
