This is a great discovery! I didn't think I would find such a great Persian restaurant in Montréal area. I tried many Persian restaurant in downtown Montreal and it was a shame to our culture. I discovered Grill Select in West Island and it was an excellent Persian restaurant!!! I ordered the Sultani Kabab (barg kabab+Koobideh kabab), my wife ordered a plate with mix of koobideh and joojeh kabab and my mom ordered the koobideh plate (2 skew of koobideh kabab). My wife asked if she could have chicken thighs instead of chicken breast and you have the choice. We also had the Mast e Moosir (wild garlic in thick yogurt). Each plate was served with either Soup (Ash e reshteh) or salad with a side of safran rice and grilled tomatoes. All kakabs were fresh, juicy and cooked to perfection. It is a small restaurant but we could see many people eating inside. It was exquisite and reminded me of Iran. I highly recommend if you love true Persian kabab. Their staff was very welcoming, nice and friendly. This place is a GEM 💎 in the Montreal area. If you want to discover Persian kabab, definitely try this place. The quality and quantity is very good. Please see my pics, you will see how authentic is this place. They don't do fancy decor to attract tourists but they serve you amazing food. Please note that this is a restaurant in which you can bring your own wine and also in addition to Persian cuisine, this place serves also Greek Cuisine. I didn't try their Greek specialty but if they are as good as Persian, this would be amazing. In term of price. It was good considering the quality and quantity served. We were stuffed and couldn't even have any dessert after that. We couldn't finish all the rice. This place serves also Dough which is a yogurt drink we usually have in Iran when it is hot or when we have Kabab. They also give you raw onions, sumac etc if needed. For all that, this is a 5/5 for this restaurant!!! Go try for yourself!!!

Lunchtime is the perfect time to try out new restaurants. It's not crazy busy, and the staff is not stressed. That's what I did today. Burgers were on today's menu. This may not have been the beat place. Let me explain. I ordered the only beef burger, Classic Burger, on the menu. The menu description sounded great: marinated ground beef, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. The plate came with a choice of salads and potatoes or rice. The plate was nicely presented. My lunch companion also ordered the burger, and she loved it. I, on the other hand, was not crazy about the texture of the meat. It may be because it was marinated, but I found that it was rubbery. It had the frozen meat texture where it is like skweeky cheese. The cesar salad was really good, as were the potato wedges. Will I go back? Not for a burger, but maybe the Souvlaki or just a cesar salad.

Can’t be more disappointed than this. Waited for 10 minutes to be seated although had a table reserved, no one would come even say hi. Finally we were seated, took literally 30 minutes for someone to take our orders, someone came said “hi” after 20 mins and said coming soon, but nope!! Finally after 30 mins, when we said what we wanted, she goes, awee sorry, there is only one barg, no chenje, no kubideh kabob is available, which they should have told us when we arrived! The food itself was also pretty ordinary, the “one skewer barg” that was available had a taste to it which I could not have more than a bite! To be totally fair, seemed like they didn’t expect that many guests and they didn’t have enough staff and they were all super overwhelmed! Which I would call bad management, rather than bad service, because the staff were lovely.

I had high hopes after friends recommended this place and I read great reviews. I must have gotten unlucky, because my experience did not meet my expectations. We arrived a little over and hour before closing time, so the issues may have stemmed from there. However, if you do not have time to provide the quality of service you usually do/should, please let customers know that you are not taking in more diners or something of the sort, otherwise they do not expect service to be lacking anything due to what time it is. We ordered quickly because we knew what we wanted. A few minutes later, the person comes to let us know they're out of Ash, so we had no choice but to take salad. When the food arrived, we told the waiter immediately that we intend on ordering another plate of Barg OR Soltani to go and asked whether or not that's going to be an issue (since they had run our of soup, for example). He said no problem and asked that we order it soon since they're staff leaves at 8:45. I let him know he can come back in 5 minutes and I'll know which one we want to reorder. He wasn't back in 5, nor 10 minutes even though he specifically asked me to place the order soon. 10 minutes later I called someone over and placed the order. It turns out, they're out of the plates we had specifically asked about 15 minutes ago and were told were not an issue. We finished our food and waited for tea, but everybody was busy cleaning. Once again, we (and they) wanted to be out as soon as possible yet were waiting to be served. Finally at 8:50 I asked for it so we would have time to actually drink it. After we got our tea the waiter asked if he could give us our bill at tthe ame time because they were closing in 5 minutes.

The food was not bad. The house salad was good. The filet mignon felt like it could have been cooked a little more, but we enjoyed the...

Food was good. The only reason Im only giving 2 stars is because of the food. We were a table of 2 no one else was in the restaurent just us. At first we got seated by a guy waiter we made our order which was super easy 2 kabab koobideh and 2 aryana the waiter comes back because he forgot the order. How does someone who has only 1 table forgets the order? One other thing that made me mad was that we were served the soup and salad by him and than 3 other different waitress came to serve us the food . There is only 1 table of 2 in the restaurent and to change waiter 4 times was so confusing. Also my mom dropped her drink the waitress just comes and gives us napkins to clean it off first of all napkins didnt help at all and its the waiters job to do that. Also the waitress she did not come to check on us we had to keep on looking for them . They were just talking loud about their personal peroblems which is unprofissional at work place. When we asked for the food to go she brings us the take out plates and we had to that ourselfs too. I dont see a reason to tip them when they do nothing at all. And when we got greeted at the door and sat down he did not even put the menu infront of us just left it there. Same with the plates on the tabke a waiter is supposed to put it infront of the customers . But we did everything ourselfs. Also waiters are supposed to fill up ur water glass once its empty but no they were too busy...
