Rockaberry — Restaurant in Kirkland

If I could give this place a 0 star, I would. Absolutely terrible. I ordered a full caramel fudge cheese and I went to pick it up and while the worker was trying to place it in the box, she smashed the top of the cake and didn't tell me. I noticed myself only after paying for it. I asked her "did the cake get smashed?" And she responded "yeah sorry the top got hit when going in the box sorry". I then asked her to show me and it was really bad. This was for my dad's birthday and I couldn't accept it. She said the only thing she could do is offer me a different cake as there were no other of the same cake. She didn't offer any kind of refund or discount or to drizzle more caramel on it. NOTHING. So I then came up with the idea to have her call another rockaberry. She said sure and proceeded to have Vaudreuil reserve a cake for me. I then asked for my receipt so I can prove to Vaudreuil that I already paid and she said she could not print the receipt. So she called them back and told them "okay so just fyi, she paid already". And I had to leave this location after waisting my time AND almost being totally ripped off because she wasn't ever going to say anything about ruining the cake and go to another location to finally get the cake I ordered. Shout-out to Rockaberry Vaudreuil who saved the day! THANK GOD I had noticed them ruining it when I did and decided to ask them to show me the cake. Absolutely disgusting service, I will never ever be going back to this location ever again. How are you going to ruin a cake and not tell the customer?!????...

Each time I have gone here the service is SERIOUSLY lacking. Waitresses don't seem to care about your service and will take their time to come serve you, don't care how long you wait. I once waited 45 minutes to get my food because a waitress was busy serving the front cash instead of bringing my food, which had been ready to be brought to our table for 20 minutes. (We heard the cook ring the bell which means it's ready and then 20 minutes later a new worker walked in and asked who the food was for and our waitress said it was for our table). Very disorganized in how they manage what they're doing.

On the other hand, the food is great and the pies are AMAZING which is what keeps me coming back.

Best thing to do would be to either go and get a slice of pie to take out or honestly go to the...

I used to be a regular, it's been about two years since my visit last night. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. It's newly (1 year) renovated. The pies are still decadent. There's a fine line between being annoying at the tables and just ignoring them. Our waitresses walked that line with finesse. It was my friend's birthday, I wanted to offer him a cake with sparklers, they didn't have any, I dropped the idea and I later found out that the staff still sang him happy birthday and gave him a cake and candle. That was a really sweet touch. The vibe later in the evening is young, college university students. It's a place to chat, the music isn't too loud. Go during the day if you want a more intimate setting. I don't need to sell you on this place, just come and enjoy it...
