Indulge Natural and Organic Kitchen — Restaurant in Kitchener

If there was a way to post no stars, I would. I originally contacted this company in DECEMBER of 2017 to cater our June 2018 wedding. Their catering manager took, on average, two weeks to reply to inquiries. When I asked for a meeting time, I heard back after the proposed time passed that the meeting wouldn't have worked. When the catering manager got back to us, he asked us if we were still interested in their service because he hadn't heard from me in three weeks... Yeah, because the last email I sent (three weeks prior) was asking him for a meeting, which he totally forgot about. When he realized that he had dropped the ball, there was no apology. Not even a response.

We liked their menu so we contacted them again, they said they were still available, and I decided to put aside past frustrations with the company because it was getting closer to our wedding date, and we had still not found someone.

Finally, the owner of the company gets in touch, schedules a meeting in St. Jacobs, even though we asked for Kitchener or Waterloo, and then when we asked if we could move it to Kitchener or Waterloo, he asked for a phone meeting instead. Perhaps he doesn't have a car, I don't know.

He called 1.5 hours later than he said he would, and neither my partner nor I had time to talk by that point in the night. He said he would call the next night at 7 pm. Instead, I got an email this morning that they confirmed with another couple for our date. Fine. But, if you have dropped the ball for FOUR MONTHS, I think it would have demonstrated integrity and a sense of fairness to allow us the chance of a meeting before confirming with another couple.

Our friends (who used Indulge for their wedding last year) complained about their lack of consistency in administration, their failure to confirm the receipt of (large) deposits, and other such problems.

We (obviously) didn't get a chance to taste their new menu, but even if they have substantially improved from the last event we attended that they catered, it would NOT be enough to offset the FOUR MONTH headache it was to try to get a meeting with them. I can't imagine the frustration of the actual planning.

Have you ever seen a gorgeous bride run out of her own wedding with black mascara all over her face from crying ?? I Did. This company is HORRIBLE. The salad ? Bitter and warm. Chicken and potatoes? Bland. Not to mention the freezer burnt French fries served as a poutine for late night snacks. Tasted more like old freezer then fries. I was at the same wedding as Jen Meere as commented below. The owner stated “we had nothing but rave reviews by others who attended” - which is far from the truth. I heard many people complaining about the food quietly at their tables not to mention the plates of unfinished food being taken back by servers to throw in the garbage because well .. It was unpleasantly gross. Rules regarding covid were not broken as the wedding was very small. This is just the best cover up the owner can say for their poor hospitality. Drinks had barely any booze. They robbed the brides open bar money and didn’t offer open bar as they shut things a down early because they couldn’t keep up with 45 minute wait times for a Watered down drink. I would sincerely let people know ahead of time not to bother with this company. It’s a waste of money and people’s time. It’s too bad I won’t be able to reply If the owner does but honestly wouldn’t even want to talk to them because they were incredibly rude and...

Indulge catered my wedding a few weeks ago, and I was beyond impressed with their quality of food and service. Running on a short timeline, since we planned a wedding within 3 months, I reached out to Indulge, scrambling to find a caterer. Paul and Nancy were quick with email responses and had us set up for a tasting. The tasting went amazing and we quickly decided that we wanted Indulge to cater our special day. The day of the wedding went wonderfully, they were professional and punctual. All the staff were friendly and ensured our special day was perfect. The serving staff for cocktail hour, dinner buffet and late night food service were amazing .The food was delicious and flavorful, and many guests have reached out to me saying this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We were happy with the choices we made for the buffet package we selected.
