Let me start by saying I'm a fan, typically. I've come to expect a pleasant vibe, friendly staff who make a point of shouting out a hello/welcome, and often casual conversation from the line staff while making your sandwich. Today's experience wasn't that. The shop was the usual meal-time busy-ness. There were 6 staff (that I could see, perhaps more at the back). No acknowledgment of customers as they entered or exited the shop. I stood by the deli counter, waiting for someone to tell me they'd be along in a minute or to take my order. Finally, a staff person asks what I'd like to order. I wanted two reg Italian subs and a giant Italiansub, but on the two regular subs, no "cooked or pressed" ham. She didn't know what I was saying. I couldn't point to it in the cooler because of a very large banner across the front top of the cooler. I tried to describe the cooked/pressed ham as being square or rectangle in shape, with red mesh netting. She brings out the Salami roll... condescendingly asking, "Is this it"? I say, "No, it's the pressed/cooked ham that is square". She pulls out the round capicola, again condescendingly asking "is this it"? I said, "no, capicola is also a ham, but I'm talking about the square one" and on and on it went back and forth. She didn't seem to know that capicola, prosciutto and pressed ham are all different types of 'ham'. As the deli person/meat slicer, I would think you'd be familiar with the meats you're handling. Anyway, moving on, nearly every time I order my sandwich this way, staff usually ask if I'd like a bit more of the other meats, or bacon. No offer today. Next, at the sandwich assembly counter, 3 thin onions slices per regular sub... seemed inadequately small amount. Whatever. I got the sandwiches to go. They were tasty as expected but the experience left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. If there was an alternative location, I'd try them next time. Feeling disappointed as this way high on my favs list. I dread a repeat...
Read moreTrying Jersey Mike’s for the first time was a very amazing experience like I have had subs before, but this was a very different experience for me.
My compliments go out to two people that helped make this experience amazing. First of all was Katie and Martin. Both were super nice and super friendly. Katie especially helped me out a lot making my choice because it was my first time coming to Jersey Mike’s.
Moving onto the actual food it is so much more better than any of the sub places I’ve been to within the GTA like the franchise places like subway quiz, and Mr. sub. I have had Deli subs before, but when I went to Jersey Mike’s the thing that caught my eye was the Philly cheesesteak which I had to try because it just looks so good.
The quality of the food was very good and it was made really quick service is very accommodating, and I really do like the flavour combination that they gave in the subs.
I will be coming back to Jersey Mike’s to try the different types of combinations they have, but the Philly cheesesteak was just so good and it just reminds me that there are franchisee sandwich shops that still do make really good combinations. The one thing I did is sort of you know look at was the pricing and I did get a sub which did turn out to be $20. I do understand the quality that you are bringing $20 for a sub is kind of pricey but the first time I would just pay it.
Overall, I would give this place if I had five just for the flavour and the quality and kudos to Katie and Martin. They...

I honestly don’t know where to begin. My visit to Jersey Mike’s was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First off, the customer service was horrendous. The staff was rude and completely uninterested in helping me. I had to wait way longer than necessary for my order, and when I finally approached the counter, the employees barely acknowledged me.
But it gets worse. They completely messed up my order. I specifically asked for no mayo on my sub—didn't even get the option to customize it properly—and guess what? They loaded it with mayo anyway. It’s like they didn’t even listen to what I was saying. And when I tried to point it out, the worker just shrugged and didn’t offer any solution.
On top of all that, they didn’t tell me what was actually in the sub. I had no idea what I was eating—there were random ingredients thrown in, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t get what I had originally asked for. I wasn’t expecting a gourmet meal, but at least basic accuracy and transparency are reasonable requests.
This was my first and last time at Jersey Mike’s. The lack of attention to detail, poor customer service, and total disregard for my order makes me regret wasting my time and money. Do yourself a favor and...
