One of the best place in Kitchener for Indian sweets and pure vegetarian food. All the sweets I tried were awesome. The chole bhuture, aloo tikki and paneer pakoda are must try. If you are in Kitchener this place is must visit.
June 2024 updates
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rajdhani, an Indian restaurant again after few years, renowned for its authentic flavors and warm hospitality. After a long 16-hour drive from the USA, we were eager to indulge in some traditional Indian cuisine, and Rajdhani did not disappoint. The quality of the food, especially in the dishes we sampled, was exceptional, making the journey well worth it.
The Chat Papadi was a delightful start to our meal. The crispy papadis were perfectly balanced with tangy tamarind chutney, cool yogurt, and a sprinkle of sev. The combination of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors made it an instant hit with the kids, who enjoyed the crunchy texture and vibrant taste in every bite.
The Chole Bhature was outstanding. The bhature were light, fluffy, and not overly greasy, a testament to their expert preparation. The chole (chickpea curry) was rich and flavorful, with a perfect blend of spices that were just right for the kids. They loved dipping the soft bhature into the savory chole, making for a fun and satisfying meal.
The Garlic Naan was a definite favorite. Soft, warm, and generously topped with minced garlic and fresh cilantro, it was the perfect accompaniment to our mains. The kids particularly enjoyed the naan, savoring its buttery, garlicky goodness, which paired wonderfully with the creamy Shahi Paneer.
The Faluda was a refreshing treat that delighted everyone at the table. This traditional Indian dessert drink, with its combination of rose syrup, vermicelli noodles, basil seeds, and creamy milk, was both visually appealing and delicious. The kids loved the sweet, slightly floral flavor, and the unique texture of the vermicelli and basil seeds added an element of fun.
The Shahi Paneer was exceptional. The paneer cubes were soft and tender, cooked in a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce with a subtle hint of sweetness and mild spices. It was perfectly suited for the kids, who enjoyed the creamy texture and the mild, comforting flavors of the dish. Paired with the garlic naan, it was a winning combination.
Overall, Rajdhani provided an excellent dining experience with high-quality food that was both flavorful and kid-friendly. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, catering to both adult palates and the taste preferences of children. Our long journey was more than justified by the delicious meal we enjoyed, and we look forward to returning for another delightful...
Read moreI went there today with my friends. First of all there was long waiting for dine in and somehow after half an hour we got a table. I used their washroom which was a nightmare and I suggested the guy with the glasses that you should put toilet paper and he completely ignored me. Then we ordered food and they do not have the patience to take the order patiently. I ordered 3 chana bhatura and 3 masala chai. We didn’t get water after waiting for 40 minutes even though we asked the server. Then when we got, it was freaking paper cups. When the food was finally served and when we were done with half of the food, I tried to communicate the servers but they completely ignored. After that I stood up and went to the front can we have our tea and I would like to order extra pickles, the server replied that I apologize, we thought you need drink after your food. I will send someone with your tea and pickles. And they came when we finished our food. Next was masala tea. It was the worst tea as it was overcooked, bitter and burnt and the tea was curdled bcz it was overcooked. I asked the guy to change tea but no one never showed up. I normally, do not complain. I know how it feels like to work at fast paced workplace. But I have worked 4 years in a convenience store, cafe and restaurant and had never given this kind if terrible service and ignorance. Terrible representation of terrible customer service and food was not up to the expectations. Prices are reasonable but the quality of food was not up to the mark. I hope they can train their employees very well. Sorry to say but I will not recommend this place to anyone. Although, I am a regular customer of brampton location and was very excited for...
Read moreDear prospective customers, current customers, and the person who answered the phone for my complaint.
Today is a Friday, the final day of the week with guests waiting for food that I was hastily picked up on my way back home from work. I come home and start to unpack my ordered food only to notice the desert items are incorrect. I was embarrassed for my out of town guests and upset that I should have taken more care in confirming the order I placed was the correct one. How could it not be correct, the gentleman who took my order inputted it correctly at the counter and his lady helpers packed my order and when I heard my name I was ready to go and enjoy at home with my family. I called the place back and instead of getting an apology, I was blamed that I ordered the incorrect food. I spoke to a lady who answered the phone, that this was the second time this has happened, the first time I had drove back after reaching home :30mins away and returned the wrong order they gave me and waited again for the correct order. But to blame me and not your own operations and poor customer service is why I took the time to write this review.
My review: Today's food didn't taste authentic and my correct order was not provided to me.
Now I am not convincing you to stop visiting this place, I am writing to tell you that if your food doesn't taste good and is missing your rightfully paid items, do not call back the place to complain as that will not do anything and will result in being hanged up on.
I am taking my business and my money to another place that values its customers and makes efforts to correct/rectify their operations after valuable unsolicited customer...
