Last night, my friends and I visited Subway, hoping for a good experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be THE WORST. We were using Subway coupons, and the lady working over there informed us that we could choose up to three sauces, with an additional charge for any extra. We completely understood and were politely asking questions for clarification.
However, instead of assisting us professionally, the lady suddenly started shouting at us and told us that if we didn’t want to pay extra, we should leave. Her rude behavior completely ruined our night. This was my second bad experience at this location, and I had hoped to give it another chance—but clearly, nothing has changed.
I sincerely wish the owner would be more mindful of how customers are being treated, as no one should have to deal with such unprofessionalism. I had a coupon for buy one Subway series footlong, get the other one for $3 and when we tried the use it, the cashier had an attitude about it, gave us a discount of $3 (instead of the second sub being $3). My partner was not paying attention and paid but when I pointed out the total was incorrect, this woman did everything to convince me I was wrong. She said “these are expensive subs”, “if I wanted to use the coupon, I should have ordered the regular turkey”, etc. I ordered from the series menu because that is what the coupon was for. After refusing to budge, the other cashier came and read the coupon and refunded us. The first cashier was extremely rude and condescending and even threw the receipts at us. I went there on Friday July 15th 2016 after 8 a.m. for breakfast, and there was a single employee there, a young woman, preparing cookies on a pan. After deciding what I wanted, I went over to patiently wait in line. After standing for 30 seconds, the employee looked up with the meanest expression on her face, and screamed -- not politely stated, not tersely remarked, SCREAMED -- "WAIT A MINUTE!".
I was shocked. I told her "Way to cost you a customer, lady" and walked away. So much for breakfast at Subway at the Kitchener Marketplace building. I don't think that lady deserves...
