We stayed at Green Gables for several days for a family function, and we had a very comfy stay. We had attended several family parties at Green Gables in the past, and so knew that the house was impressive and the food was terrific, but we had never stayed overnight before. We had the quaintly decorated "Anne" room, which is spacious with an elevated desk area, a large closet, a firm mattress on the queen-sized bed, TV, and a big ensuite bathroom. Our hosts, Jennifer and Len, were very welcoming and accommodating. The continental breakfast had plenty of mixed fresh fruits, muffins, croissants, yogurt, and hot steel cut oats, and Len's special Saturday treat, blueberry, banana, and pecan waffles, were delicious! Read moreEarly in her wedding planning, my daughter and I came across Green Gables when Googling B&Bs in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Looking for a more personal and reasonably priced option, it turned out to be an amazing experience! We stayed there the night before and after the wedding. The private grounds and beautifully kept historic home were the perfect backdrop for a pre-wedding photo session. The hosts, Jennifer and Len were friendly and gracious. They provided a delicious continental breakfast each morning. On our last morning, we were treated to Len's amazing blueberry-banana-pecan homemade waffles. The wonderful aroma greeted us as we came down the staircase with our bags packed! A big thank-you to both of them for making our stay so comfortable. I would highly...

This personal experience includes flexibility, possible rides in bad weather, advice about services, weather, and more. The price is cheaper than many of the hotels in the area; and I found the location perfect for where I needed to go, within walking distance.
They offer a light breakfast option such as oatmeal, muffins, croissants, and fruits. The proprietors would wish me off at the beginning of each day as I went to do my business, a really nice touch. When the weather was icey, they offered me crampons to make sure I wouldn't slip and slide.
To make a reservation, call or email them. I found them not being on major booking sites helpful to keep the direct...
