Sugar Run — Restaurant in Kitchener

Sugar Run is an amazing speakeasy style bar located in the heart of DTK. It’s a very unique spot, with dark and moody atmosphere to lure you in, no other place like it in all of Kitchener.

The cocktails are lovingly made for each customer and are so yummy! You can order off of their seasonal menus or ask for something special just for you, and they deliver perfection every time. Although it’s fun to go on a regular day, they also frequently have events to keep it interesting like burlesque, karaoke, and live music.

They have a good variety of snacks to accompany your drinks, and a big list of non-alcoholic options if alcohol isn’t your vibe.

This bar is in an alleyway behind the Print2Go. It’s easy to miss, but definitely worth finding.

The drink menu was great! The mocktails and cocktails had unique flavours and combinations. You can tell they really put some thought into them, and the presentation was spot on.

The staff were super friendly. Gave us great recommendations and super patient when we had questions. Great service and very efficient.

The DJ was good. Just something to keep in mind—some tables are close to the speakers, so it can get loud if you’re trying to talk. Not over the top, but something to consider if it bothers you.

Overall, a really good vibe for a night...

We recently had our wedding reception with ~40 people at Sugar Run and couldn't be happier with the choice. Justin and team were super easy to work with and very helpful in getting everything set up, and on the night of were so friendly and welcoming and helped make it a truly special night. The drinks were fantastic as they always are here, and they were even willing to go off menu in some cases to tailor drinks to specific preferences. Would highly recommend this space for anymore looking to host a small-medium sized event
