I've written only one other review as its time consuming to write one up. We recently discovered this place (Dec 2023). Apparently they been around a while... I wish we knew of them sooner.. It's sort of hidden inside an office building that appears to be empty. You wouldn't know its in there, but they are. Sometimes the best places are hidden Gems. So take your significant other on an adventure and find this place, you won't regret it. You can park at the vacant building next door (corner of Park and Victoria). there's also parking at the rear off of Park Street. If you are just going for take out, you can park right next to the building, right next to the sidewalk (it almost looks as if you're on the sidewalk). We been there 4 times in the last 4 months. Great, fresh and affordable food, the servers are very friendly and accommodating. We've been to a few places that serves Sushi in town, this is our favourite. Their salad is perfectly fresh, not a wilted leaf to be found, it looks like they carefully select and slice their veggies. I think they use a razor blade to slice the food as it looks perfect. There are a few tables inside for eat-in and a courtyard when its warmer. Don't be fooled by its small size or the older office/warehouse decor, it's definitely worth a sit down or even a take out.. So far we've been there for their Japanese cuisine, judging from its quality and appearance, I have no doubt the Korean cuisine is just as good... I've seen them serve it up while eating-in and it looks fantastic... I've had their Salmon Lover dinner and my wife orders their picnic combo.. Thankyou...
Read moreThis restaurant is in an old factory building. The parking is hard to find - you have to turn the corner into Park St then drive down to a driveway marked “100 Park St”, then walk back to the building. Entering the building from Victoria St, you find yourself in a lobby, and the entrance to the restaurant is a solid steel door - I was worried it was the employee entrance, but opened it to find the restaurant inside. I think they mostly do delivery and take-out: the person at the cash register greeted us by handing us a menu. We stood there awkwardly and ordered, then stood around waiting for our food. There is a small area with tables and chairs, and after the young man appeared with our food - already in take-out containers- he asked us if we were dining in or taking out. It was a nice day, so we took our food and left. I had the salmon bibimbap. The fish and vegetables were fresh, but the rice was clumpy and not hot. My companion had the salmon poke bowl, and said it was good, but did not leave him feeling full. I see this restaurant has some high ratings. I would be prepared to try it again, if only because it’s a place to get takeout that isn’t greasy and has fresh veggies. Definitely not a place I would go for a relaxing dine-in experience. The restaurant seemed clean on the inside, but a bare...
Read moreMy partner and I love Taste of Seoul. Great, fresh food offerings with amazing flavours at super reasonable prices.
Taste of Seoul is one of our go-to spots and we have never been disappointed with any dish we have ordered from them.
**Edit: My now husband and I love Taste of Seoul so much that we asked them to cater our wedding. We couldn't imagine a better caterer and got so many comments from our guests that the food was amazing. They loved the variety, the flavour and the presentation. From a practical perspective, Jin-Hwa was amazing to work with. She was available through texts and emails, came to our venue ahead of time to scope out where to set up, and provided exactly the mix of products we asked for. They did an amazing job setting up the food for the event (including setting up great labels so our guests with dietary restrictions could know what they could eat). I would recommend the taste of Seoul catering to anyone. They far surpassed our high expectations for incredible food. They were such a huge part of making our special...
