Had a chance to visit this new coffee shop today and unfortunately 😕 my first experience was less then favorable. I suggested to two friends that we meet here at 11am. I arrived first. When I entered the shop the gentleman that was working behind the counter was engaged in a conversation with two other guys. At first I thought they where talking about their order, however after sitting at the table closet to the counter I quickly could hear that was not the case. No acknowledgement from the guy behind the counter that I had even entered the shop. No hello, no can I help you, are waiting for somebody, nothing. I got up walked over to the counter hoping he would say something and still the conversation he was having went on and on. I felt very uncomfortable like I wasn't even there. When my friends arrived I personally wanted to leave but decided to stay. No suggestions made, no is this your first time with us and most importantly thanks for your patience and allowing me to catch up with my two friends. Perhaps in the future my suggestion would be acknowledge the person who walks in to your business , welcome them and then carry on your conversation if need be. Sorry guys I had great hopes 😔. Hope this feed back is helpful...
Read moreHad the chance to visit this cafe while on a short trip to Kitchener. Unassuming from the outside - the inside is bursting with colour and warmth. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. It’s clean, with lots of spots to plug in and do your work from the cafe, or just stay for a little read. Also - great wifi!
From the new seasonal menu(Fall 2025) I tried the Dulce de Leche latte, the Black Sesame Hojicha Flat White, and the Whoopsie Pumpkin Spice latte. I also had the Yacht Pop Smoothie with a matcha shot. All the drinks had beautiful flavours and the perfect amount of sweetness. I rarely go to a cafe and have a drink come out tasting so balanced. My favourite would have to be the Black Sesame Hojicha just because it’s a new latte flavour for me and its very delicate nuttiness really invited me to slow down and savour each sip.
I really love a cafe where you can come in and feel the community. At Whoopsie the vibe of the customers is so good! They seem to intentionally cultivate a kind customer base. Heartily recommend dropping by for a Survivor Night, or one of the other local community events that they host during the month.
All in all, an amazing time....
Read moreI was eager to try the newest cafe in DTK and I was thoroughly impressed by Whoopsie Daisy! My friend and I were fans of the bright and colourful aesthetic and overall vibes. The drip coffee was fruity, clean, and delicious. It was clearly made with high quality coffee. They also had lots of baked goods on offer from a local bakery they partner with.
The highlight for me was the wide selection of speciality coffee beans for sale from some of the best Canadian roasters. One of the owners took the time to chat for a few mins with me and helped me pick out some amazing beans from Vietnam. They are committed to finding ethically sourced coffees while not sacrificing any quality.
My only nitpick was the fact that they didn't offer any pour over coffee. However, if you're a fan of tasty drip coffee or any espresso-based drink I'm sure you'll be more than satisfied here. I'm already planning my next visit!
Parking is also a bit of a challenge but you can't hold that against them. There is plenty of free street parking within...
