Just finished the mayor’s office at the Kitchener location. As someone who’s done over 20 rooms, this was another great room escape experience. Lots of unique puzzles, would definitely recommend this room to others.
Edit: after a few more visits I have now attempted all their rooms. And can give more feedback. My buddy and I were a group of 2 and did all the rooms together.
To start every room feels unique and challenging without feeling like once you’ve done, you’ll be able to figure them all out. Each room contains unique elements and problem solving skills to help you escape. Each room also feels like there’s atleast one puzzle that could keep your group head-scratching for what the next step is supposed to be to escape, for the rest of the time remaining…but their help system can probably give you just enough info to finally figure out what’s next to keep you moving.
The Original Room and the Alternate Room were good, in terms of unique puzzles, but don’t have the same overall character as the themed rooms.
The newest room Committed has a unique dynamic and plenty of different puzzles to solve. The 75-minute duration compared to 60 is well justified. The theme and setup to the room was great. It was very difficult with just 2 people (but not impossible). One of the first puzzles was the most difficult and could probably use a revised hint to solve, but some people may figure it out quicker. It did feel awesome when we finally figured it out. I also don't know how this would have played out with 8 people, but I’d guess 4-5 may be ideal.
Lastly there’s the Vault. This room had some great props. It’s been awhile since we did this room, so I do remember it being fun and challenging and worth the visit, but I’ll leave it as that.
As a side note: They have great and friendly staff and if they have availability of rooms you’ll be offered a 10% discount to try another room that day. So it’s a great deal to take advantage of if you have the time.
I hope they get another new room in time, would love to come back. We may just have to make the trip to Niagara to try their other rooms in...
Read moreThe Adventure Room Canada- Escape Room Games, was a very rewarding and beneficial experience. We participated in the standard game which was an hour in length and we had a memorable time! The rooms presented an enjoyable challenge and everyone was able to help out as there were multiple tasks that needed to be completed. The technology, such as the infrared thermometer, snake camera, and specialty glasses provided us with a very unique experience. The staff were polite and answered all the questions we had before starting our game. The building seemed to require renovation on the exterior, and it was not in an ideal location; however, the inside was physically appealing. The washrooms, lobby and the escape room itself were all clean and met our expectations. There was also very reasonably priced snacks and beverages available to guests before we entered the adventure room along with board games which we were complimentary. The overall price for the experience was reasonable and we would be willing to go back at another time to try a different room. The website online was user friendly and easy to navigate and the online sign up was both manageable and straight forward to complete. We were also quite pleased to be given a free locker for our belongings and were not forced to pay extra to store our possessions during the event. The one downside to the experience was the parking because it was very difficult to find a spot since there was no designated parking lot. We ended up circling the building and the block a few times until we were eventually able to find a spot a block over. One suggestion we have that we believe would enhance further participant enjoyment would be to design the first rooms to be more easy to escape from and position the more challenging rooms later in the experience because at the beginning of our adventure we became so frustrated we almost gave up and we found the puzzles easier to solve later in the game. Overall, we would certainly recommend the Escape Room to family and friends as it was an amazing...

I am someone who has done lots of escape rooms and have yet to come across one that I have not thoroughly enjoyed - such was the case here for three reasons:,
Our group of 7 came in on Saturday and did the Alternative Adventure - we went in not knowing what to expect but were only told right before going in that we were going to begin the game handcuffed to the wall. There was no mention of this on their website which might be a deterrent - not everyone is okay with this and it can be extremely triggering for some people!
The same goes with another puzzle that involved a strobe light - this also requires a warning as it is a HEALTH HAZARD for epileptics and those prone to seizures. A member of our party had to close her eyes or leave the room for this very reason - again, this needs to go on the website as this could pose serious risks.
The staff were extremely unhelpful and vague. We were stuck on a puzzle and lost a considerable amount of time after texting the front desk with no reply on hint - only to be told by the young guy (Rylan) at the front desk that “we aren’t supposed to give you hints until the 20 minute mark”. He didn’t inform us of this going in and were told after that we weren’t supposed to know. WTF?
Not likely to come back or recommend to friends as we all left with a bad feeling. Avoid this place if you can - there are far better escape...
