Innovative and well paced escapes! I went a couple weeks ago and my boyfriend and I were worried that it wouldn't be possible to escape with only 2 people but it was totally possible (but not easy). The puzzles are extremely varied and innovative. I have only been to a couple escape rooms before but these puzzles were really clever and many of them were brand new puzzle concepts for me. The room decor is often simplistic but effective and still detailed in its simplicity. We did 2 rooms on the same day because they offer a 10% off to 2nd games on the same day. We started with the original which we beat with 3 minutes to spare and ended with the vault which we weren't able to complete in time but they gave us alittle extra time since we were so close (didn't count as an official win but was really nice to get to round out the story). The staff were incredible, informative, friendly and mysterious. Auri (I think that was her name) was absolutely wonderful and knew so much about the game. No phones allowed inside but lockers are provided. Would recommend for any size group they recommend, we could have finished the 2nd one had we clued in to some details sooner but overall wasn't too frustrating, the hints are paced well and the content is consistently engaging. Edit to add (August 2022) We came back to do the rest of the rooms and they definitely didn't disappoint. So creative, fun, and big! Rylan was an awesome host for The Mayor's office!

I went here for the first time with 2 friends and we had the time of our lives! We started with the Alternate Adventure with Akram as our helper! He was super friendly and explained everything really well! He also gave us an extra few minutes to finish because we didn’t win within the hour! Then he offered us a discount to stay and play another game, which we very eagerly accepted! Then we had Sunshine for the Original Adventure! This one was tougher but we beat it with 5 seconds to spare! She was also super fun and bubbly with very infectious positive energy! Whether it’s with friends, family, spouce, coworkers, or some rando you found on the street, I 100% recommend Adventure Rooms for your next night out!

This seems to be one activity that can be enjoyed by an 8 years old as well as a 80 years, as long as they are not handicapped, for the building itself isn't handicap friendly. It's an old lovely building though. There were big groups of people here on a sunny and autumnal morning. Their ages range from 10 to mid fifties. For a group of 14 kids, the price was $21/kid for 2 games each. Everyone seemed to have had a great time coming out of the locked rooms. Some kids said they had fun just watching their peers solving the puzzles. There were social games to keep the kids busy between the Adventure Games. The kids wanted to come back again.

Just finished the mayor’s office at the Kitchener location. As someone who’s done over 20 rooms, this was another great room escape experience. Lots of unique puzzles, would definitely recommend this room to others.

Edit: after a few more visits I have now attempted all their rooms. And can give more feedback. My buddy and I were a group of 2 and did all the rooms together.

To start every room feels unique and challenging without feeling like once you’ve done, you’ll be able to figure them all out. Each room contains unique elements and problem solving skills to help you escape. Each room also feels like there’s atleast one puzzle that could keep your group head-scratching for what the next step is supposed to be to escape, for the rest of the time remaining…but their help system can probably give you just enough info to finally figure out what’s next to keep you moving.

The Original Room and the Alternate Room were good, in terms of unique puzzles, but don’t have the same overall character as the themed rooms.

The newest room Committed has a unique dynamic and plenty of different puzzles to solve. The 75-minute duration compared to 60 is well justified. The theme and setup to the room was great. It was very difficult with just 2 people (but not impossible). One of the first puzzles was the most difficult and could probably use a revised hint to solve, but some people may figure it out quicker. It did feel awesome when we finally figured it out. I also don't know how this would have played out with 8 people, but I’d guess 4-5 may be ideal.

Lastly there’s the Vault. This room had some great props. It’s been awhile since we did this room, so I do remember it being fun and challenging and worth the visit, but I’ll leave it as that.

As a side note: They have great and friendly staff and if they have availability of rooms you’ll be offered a 10% discount to try another room that day. So it’s a great deal to take advantage of if you have the time.

I hope they get another new room in time, would love to come back. We may just have to make the trip to Niagara to try their other rooms in...

The Adventure Room Canada- Escape Room Games, was a very rewarding and beneficial experience. We participated in the standard game which was an hour in length and we had a memorable time! The rooms presented an enjoyable challenge and everyone was able to help out as there were multiple tasks that needed to be completed. The technology, such as the infrared thermometer, snake camera, and specialty glasses provided us with a very unique experience. The staff were polite and answered all the questions we had before starting our game. The building seemed to require renovation on the exterior, and it was not in an ideal location; however, the inside was physically appealing. The washrooms, lobby and the escape room itself were all clean and met our expectations. There was also very reasonably priced snacks and beverages available to guests before we entered the adventure room along with board games which we were complimentary. The overall price for the experience was reasonable and we would be willing to go back at another time to try a different room. The website online was user friendly and easy to navigate and the online sign up was both manageable and straight forward to complete. We were also quite pleased to be given a free locker for our belongings and were not forced to pay extra to store our possessions during the event. The one downside to the experience was the parking because it was very difficult to find a spot since there was no designated parking lot. We ended up circling the building and the block a few times until we were eventually able to find a spot a block over. One suggestion we have that we believe would enhance further participant enjoyment would be to design the first rooms to be more easy to escape from and position the more challenging rooms later in the experience because at the beginning of our adventure we became so frustrated we almost gave up and we found the puzzles easier to solve later in the game. Overall, we would certainly recommend the Escape Room to family and friends as it was an amazing...

If I could give the experience less than one star I would.

I am someone who has done lots of escape rooms and have yet to come across one that I have not thoroughly enjoyed - such was the case here for three reasons:,

  1. Our group of 7 came in on Saturday and did the Alternative Adventure - we went in not knowing what to expect but were only told right before going in that we were going to begin the game handcuffed to the wall. There was no mention of this on their website which might be a deterrent - not everyone is okay with this and it can be extremely triggering for some people!

  2. The same goes with another puzzle that involved a strobe light - this also requires a warning as it is a HEALTH HAZARD for epileptics and those prone to seizures. A member of our party had to close her eyes or leave the room for this very reason - again, this needs to go on the website as this could pose serious risks.

  3. The staff were extremely unhelpful and vague. We were stuck on a puzzle and lost a considerable amount of time after texting the front desk with no reply on hint - only to be told by the young guy (Rylan) at the front desk that “we aren’t supposed to give you hints until the 20 minute mark”. He didn’t inform us of this going in and were told after that we weren’t supposed to know. WTF?

Not likely to come back or recommend to friends as we all left with a bad feeling. Avoid this place if you can - there are far better escape...
