So at approximately 10pm I pulled up to the drive-thru and order a large tea, with 1 bag of chamomile, 1 bag of peppermint and 2 sugar. Pretty simple order right? I even repeated myself twice to make sure my order was correct, and it was, at least according to the screen that displayed my order. I then pull up in line, and here are where the problems start.
First, I had to wait 7 minutes for the only car in front of me to be served two drinks. Two, but whatever, I don't mind the wait. Then when I pulled up, they gave me a tea with 1 bag of peppermint and 1 bag of orange pekoe...which is not what I ordered. So I politely inform them that my order is wrong, and repeated that I ordered 1 bag of peppermint, 1 bag of chamomile. The server disappeared with my order. Then 10 minutes later (I counted) he reappears with a large tea, with 1 bag of peppermint and 1 bag of chai...wrong order again. At this point, after spending ~17 minutes, I decided I didn't want to wait any longer so asked for my money back. At which point the server disappeared and came back - promptly this time, fortunately - and finally gave me my correct order, so I thought whatever, he didn't give me my money back, but at least I have my tea now...but wait, there's more.
So now with my "correct" order of a large tea, which is for some reason lukewarm now, with 1 bag of chamomile, 1 bag of peppermint and 2 sugar I begin my drive home. Upon reaching home, I took a sip to find the lukewarm tea has a slight but unique taste of both orange pekoe, and chai. Upon opening the lid, I found that the cup was only 3/4 full.
Now if I was a betting man, I would have bet that after getting my wrong order back, the workers at Tim's instead of making me a new tea each time they messed up my order, simply took out the wrong bag each time and put the "right" one back into the same water. And of course let it sit there for ~17 minutes letting the tea cool down. So in the end I effectively got a lukewarm tea with chamomile, peppermint, orange pekoe and chai in it.
But of course, I'm not a betting man, and Tim's couldn't be that incompetent, right?
Well, all I know is that I won't be going back to that Tim's...
Read moreI have never been to an establishment that has such consistency in the slowest service possible. With so many employees standing behind the counters there is no reason to be waiting for over 10 minutes to get a tea, especially with only 2 people in front in the line up. Just ridiculous. Today I ordered a tea through the drive through. Not only did I wait in line for over 10 minutes with 4 vehicles in front of me but I had to wait at the window because they couldn't get my drink ready...... So another 3 minutes go by while I wait at the window for my drink. I don't know but I'm pretty sure if you gave me 15 minutes I could collect my own tea leaves. Boil water via the sun using my glasses. Collect the milk from my neighbors cow and have a tea before 5 people figure out how or who is going to take on the responsibility of doing their job. Also I didn't think simple math could be so hard lol. My tea comes to 2.19 so I give the lady 5.25. what do I get back? A nickle. Lol where's the other 3 dollars I said. Then I had to proceed to break the math down for her so I could get my change back. Then I get home and they have some how managed to make the wrong drink. Slow service and lack of brains is what I find everytime I go to this place. Unfortunately I'm stuck it's the only timmies around. Here's a tip. If there is two people standing in line have both of the tills open. That's what they are there for am I right? And again I doubt you need 20 people behind the counters when you only...
Read moreStopped inside (May 6, 2023) because earlier in the week they didn't have any hockey cards that I had ordered through the app on the Tuesday. At that time the asst. Manager "Debbie" had taken my information and requested I return on Friday and she'd order more cards for me.
Went in Saturday on my way out of town, the cards were there, so was Debbie (who is the friendliest of people btw).
I picked up some honey dip timbits (my go to and favorite ones) however, after getting on the road and opening the box I was displeased to find that they were stale, which was a surprise for me given the time of day I procured them.
I generally don't go inside this location, just hit the drive-thru on my way home after work in the morning, but the circumstances dictated an in-person visit.
Which leads us to my 1-Star review for atmosphere.....
While waiting for them to get my stale timbits and wife's iced coffee ready, we observed 6 (non-caucasian) members of the staff crowding around the drive-thru camera monitor and pointing and laughing obscenely at a customer who was going through, while also talking amongst themselves in their foreign language.
Forgetting the idea that this location seems to be overstaffed for no particular reason (I counted 13 people) the fact that 6 of them have time to stand around and make fun of a customer is a huge indicator of the level of mismanagement here and those actions have influenced me to never return to...
