Pyramid Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Kitchener

Absolutely awful first experience in the restaurant. I’ve ordered delivery in the past, figured I’d do a pick up, on my way in, a customer walking out held the door for me, meaning the door chime didn’t go off as it would when a customer comes in. I wait 2 mins and find no employee visible. I decided to say hello to see if anyone can hear me. No one showed up, so I went and opened the door to recreate the chime. Still nothing. I say hello two more times and still no one will come out. It’s been 5 mins, 3 hellos and me banging on the counter trying to knock to get attention.

Finally a short Asian man comes out and says ‘I can’t hear you, I’m in the back’ we go back and forth a bit on how long I’d been waiting when I tell him he should have more staff on. He yells that it’s just him and he couldn’t hear me. I ask why he couldn’t even apologize for making me wait. He says and I quote “I don’t have to give you an apology, I was in the back and can’t hear anything”

To say the least, I was stunned. I was a paying customer and there was no remorse. I left without ordering as I couldn’t believe the disrespect, then on my way out, he threatened to call the police because I opened the door hard and gave me the middle finger. Despicable, absolutely terrible customer service WILL NEVER RETURN. Learn to respect your paying customers or you’ll run out of business very fast. Should be fired. Will be calling to speak to the manager to see that this employee does not act...

I'm disappointed and disgusted at the male who was simply trying to sell pizza. I went into Pyramid Pizza on whim to grab a slice. There were 2 customers eating at the tables. I waited for somebody to greet me and ask me what I'd like to eat. Nobody came. Soon I noticed an older male in the back of the store eating. After a few seconds of watching him eat, with his bare hands, I waved and he wiped his mouth with his hands and a serviette and came over to me. He looked over and said, 'Pizza?' He paused, grumbled something and put down the plate and tongs that he had already touched with his unwashed hands and went to wash his hands with water only. He came back smiling and picked up the plate and tongs he had already touched and looked for instructions. In shock, I muttered, 'Are you kidding me?' and I walked out sad. This little store was a go to and the Vietnamese family that used to run the store were awesome, clean and friendly. I am extremely turned off by my visit and it's going to be a long time before giving this store another...

I have ordered with pyramid pizza on Lancaster many times within living in Kitchener, however recently when I am ordering delivery I am treated with disrespect at the door and over the phone. I had just gotten an order at 11:50am, and the delivery driver was disrespectful. I had been called by him over the phone it went "hello, hello, delivery, my god" and then when I went to the door I asked if he knocked and he said yes, three times. I didn't hear any knocking at all and I have 2 dogs that weren't barking from any knocking. Obviously they were knocking lightly, then got a rude attitude because I didn't hear them. I asked the people in my home, "did you hear knocking" they said no.
