Kypreos Restaurant — Restaurant in Kitchener

I was there regular customer mostly for breakfasts, few times for lunch & dinner.Twice after having lunch there my stomach was upset and I felt some smelly old vegies when I was eating. i should stop eating it but i didn't.Last time I was there for lunch I ordered baby liver with vegies and mash potatoes, when I was served with that plate first I try mash potatoes and it was gross taste ( old poatatoes souer , old, old old ) plus there was sezoning add to kill the old potaoes taste. GROSS :( I call server, told her to replace mash potatoes and when I was complaine she lough and say Sorry with big smile on her face, the smile got in to me and I said it is not funny. So she left with the plate and come back, in mean time there was owner by the bar, I told him that I am here regular customer and this food is not fresh, he was sorry also and after few words he comment that may look for another restaurant to dine. Next thing I was ready ( finally ) eat my lunch and when focus on my food I found hair in my plate :( My lunch was over standing up pay at the bar $20 and I left the place. THIS PLACE IS GIVING YOU POISON ON THE PLATE !!! Maybe all of as should look for another restaurant and eat more healthy food than KYPREOS on 305 Lancaster...

Some amazing and fresh Greek food!

As soon as I walked in here I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and homey type restaurant. It was very welcoming.

The food was crazy fresh. I ordered a chicken souvlaki pita with fries/side gravy/Greek salad and everything was spot on in flavor. The fries and gravy were absolutely delicious, I have no idea how they make their fries but they are crunchy on the outside with a soft centre and the gravy! I want to be in a bath with that gravy, it had a great mix of meats and saucy goodness. The wrap was killing it on the flavor and had a good amount of chicken/veg stuffing with an amazing tzatziki sauce. Greek salad was refreshing with the dressing, amazing olives, tomatoes, and cheese.

Everything was, hands down, perfect and you can definitely taste the homemade/non frozen food from here. I also didn't feel that sick or curdled stomach feeling even though I was absolutely stuffed and needed a wheel barrel to get out!

Staff were super nice and professional. Above and beyond service.

No more lamb souvlaki? I normally order dinner plates, but lately haven't been into over cooked potatoes and mushy rice so I taught I would go with Gyro wrap is originally 10.99 or 9.99 something like that I ordered one yesterday and it was decent grilled bread , fresh veggies delicious tzatziki it wasn't enough food for me so today I wanted some extra meat and person taking the order said it's 5.99 to add extra meat. Now I thought maybe she was confused with dinner plate and asked again and got the same answer. Seriously couple shavings of gyro costs 5.99? I work in the industry of course if you want extra meat there is a price for sure but that price usually isn't 60 percent of the cost of whole food. Remind you this isn't a steak it's eventually ground beef pressed together. If it was a real gyro machine running maybe but this stuff was sliced gyros so I now feel like your food isn't worth every penny anymore.

Update 2 years later.. their food is absolutely worth every penny..
