Woodfired Cafe and Bakecurry — Restaurant in Kitchener

The Good: The bagels were light and flavourful and absolutely covered in sesame seeds just the way I like them. Definitely the best thing there. The Sourdough Rye bread was perfect for toast or sandwiches, though sadly lacking in sourness.

The Bad: The butter tart had excellent filling but the crust was thick and underbaked at the bottom. The ginger cookie was so under baked it fell apart in my hand. I tried a bit and the flavour was good but not as strong in ginger as I prefer.

Store notes: I arrived at 10am on a holiday monday and they were already sold out of croissants and scones. Definitely go early next time. Staff were impatient despite a lack of line behind me and seemed annoyed by my questions and lack of knowledge on what was sold out despite...

Wow! What an amazing experience tonight at Woodfired cafe! Amazing service and great conversation! Such polite and easy to talk too people behind the counter. The selection of fresh baked treats and breads was impressive! Tonight we enjoyed a MASSIVE woodfired meat pizza that was ready in minutes and tasted great! The hubby had a Turkey melt that was cooked to perfection with a thick bread that was full of flavor! The donut.. to die for yumm! And my son loved his croissant! You would think that the food review alone is enough to convince you to give it a try. well if it's not.. the price... Omg!!! The prices are insainly LOW! This place is definitely a must try! I'm heading back this weekend to pick up some fresh baked breads...

Came across this place looking for a quick bite to eat. Pleasantly surprised. Any place that invests in a wood burning oven will have good food. Had the chicken curry pizza slice and it was very very good. the crust was nice and thin but with lots of flavour, the curry chicken was very tasty.. not overwhelming... just right.. i decided to try the veggie slices as well.. very very good. they also have bagels, bread and other baked goods... i will need to find time to come by this place again to try other things. The young man working there was very nice and provided great and fast service. they also have a great little patio with shade that many folks seemed to enjoy. Great...
