Worst place I've ever been to... even after considering it's all you can eat restaurant, the quality is too bad. I wonder how they got 3.7 star reviews on google. All the rolls that I ordered had too much tempura bits inside even it didn't say anything about it on the menu. Make tempura bigger instead of putting tempura bits or at least let customers know about it so they can ask to remove it? All the shrimps and vegetables are tiny. I can't even say it's small. They are all tiny. The only thing that was enough was rice. Mongolian beef is way too salty. One of the rolls that had fish inside, it was awful. The fish was very fishy and smelly so I couldn't even swallow it. Really.. did they hire people to write good reviews? Or has the owner changed? I don't know but the food is really bad here. I recommend you to go somewhere else if you value your money. The service.. god, they really need to work on improving it. When we walked in nobody said hi or anything and the old man threw the tablet on the table. The servers.. never said a word or didn't smile at all even I said thank you every time they served the food I ordered. They are also never around you even when it's not busy. So it is hard to ask for something like another napkin and I had to walk to the front to ask if I need to pay at the table or front as they all avoided eye contact and were busy with talking to coworkers... I wasn't satisfied with the food and service at all so I didn't tip and the server gave me a look and threw the receipt...lol I'm definitely not going back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ye’s All You Can Eat Japanese Sushi, and it was an experience that exceeded my expectations! As soon as I entered, I was welcomed by a vibrant and contemporary atmosphere, perfect for sushi lovers. The menu was extensive, offering a delightful array of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. Each dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. The sushi selection included classic favorites like California rolls and spicy tuna rolls, as well as creative specialty rolls that featured unique flavor combinations. One of the standout features was the quality of the fish. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the rice had the perfect texture—sticky yet fluffy. The option to order from the menu rather than buffet-style allowed for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience, as I could take my time to savor each bite. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that my dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. They were quick to refill drinks and check in to see if I needed anything, which added to the overall positive vibe. For dessert, the green tea ice cream was a perfect way to round out the meal—creamy and not too sweet, it complemented the savory flavors of the sushi wonderfully. Overall, Ye’s All You Can Eat Japanese Sushi is a must-visit for sushi enthusiasts. The combination of fresh ingredients, a diverse menu, and excellent service makes it a standout destination for a delicious meal. I can't wait to return and try even more from their enticing menu!

I was there today with my boyfriend to get sushi for the first time in about two weeks. I am a vegetarian and he is not a vegetarian and eats all seafood. When I asked the waitress if I could have my vegetarian food separately from my partners they said sure as long as I ordered separately on the tablet. The tablet itself had not been wiped down and had food crumbs from the previous group that had used it. I had ordered three cucumber rolls and two avocado rolls. On almost half of the pieces of sushi ordered there was some form of fish eggs on them. I proceeded to tell the waitress that some of my food had contamination and that I would not be eating it. She told me she would only charge me for however much I had consumed. She told me that she could not accommodate my vegetarian diet as it would take too long and they were too busy at lunchtime in order to wash the knife before cutting my pieces. Not only was this against accommodating religious beliefs in which I am a vegetarian which goes against chartered rights of Canada but also the fact that they stated that they were too busy to accommodate me seems to show that they have a lack of customer service. I proceeded to complain at the desk where you go to pay that I would not be paying for food that I had not consumed however they went on to say that we’d already told you that we would try our best but there is no promise of food contamination I had told them if I had been anaphylactic which I am to fish eggs that I would’ve had to gone to the hospital. They showed no remorse and continue to want to charge us I asked to speak to the manager and upon calling her on the phone cheer shirred me that I didn’t need to pay and that she would provide me with roles to take home on the go I appreciated her trying to make up for the customer service that lack within the store itself however I was not willing to risk my life by taking home anymore of the food that was being served there as it could not promise you that it not been contaminated. I went on to let the people at the store know that they could speak to the manager and that we will not be paying for food with no longer be visiting with location. The manager had let me know that they have filed a case and that they will be following up with me. The woman who I’ve been talking to at the store was not happy with me rolled her eyes was very rude to me and my boyfriend and continue to say I’m sorry but we did say that we didn’t have time to cut your food differently not have contaminated. Then continue to speak in a different language other employees in which I could make out a couple of words as I had taken classes in Mandarin and understood that they were saying things that were inappropriate about customers in there native language assuming that I had no idea how to speak Cantonese or mandarin. I will never be returning to use again and will be following up with a case that they have open under my name and will keep you updated on here please do not go there if you have any food allergies or restrictions as they are not accommodating and will claim that they cannot promise you anything after the fact that they’ve already promised you something and they made a mistake be careful she was a higher and restaurant which you’ll pay a lot more for it but get a better service for and more knowledgable employees on what’s on the menu. The menu also needs to state what is included under each item so that customers can understand what they’re ordering. Furthermore I would also like to clean the bathrooms did not seem like they were clean at all. And they did use broken dishes To serve on. I will not...

This restaurant by far has the worst food and customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I initially hoped that it was a one-off negative experience, but everything continued to worsen with each try. I am not one to speak negative of anything as I try to be understanding, but I am compelled to warn others of what I experienced.

Experience #1: Food Poisoning Several months ago, I ordered takeout sushi, picked it up immediately and brought it home to where I live less than 10 min away. I ate salmon sushi rolls and some appetizers for dinner. Around 3am, I wake up with debilitating nausea and stomach cramps. I could not sleep and ended up vomiting. Hours of pain later, my partner brought me to the hospital in the morning, I missed my college exam, and received a Gravol injection for how bad the nausea and pain was. I am in nursing and am meticulously clean and health-conscious, hardly ever getting sick. I believe I got food poisoning from Ye's.

Experience #2: False Wait Time On a Friday evening a couple months ago, I called Ye's to ask for the wait time as I was planning to go there for a date with my partner. I was told that there was no wait time at all. We head over immediately to beat the dinner rush, and see another couple walking out in disappointment, which was confusing. When we enter, the employee at the door told us the wait time was 45 minutes. We had JUST spoken to the employee on the phone who told us there was no wait. We ended up leaving and eating elsewhere.

Experience #3: Inedible Food and Unfriendly Staff Yesterday, my partner and I went to Ye's for our 2 year anniversary. This was by far the most unbelievably terrible experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Every single dish tasted awful. The miso soup tasted like lukewarm water, the seaweed salad tasted funky, the cheese wontons were too undercooked and slightly cold, the beef teriyaki was cold and tough, the sushi was flavorless and mushy, tempura was oily and soggy, and the cherry on top was the beef short ribs. We were served whole slabs of fat with maybe a little nibble of meat by the bone. Cold, stringy, with no flavor and barely any sauce. When receiving the dish I almost did not recognize that it was the beef ribs, because there was so much fat it was all yellow. Every single piece. I almost choked trying to eat it because of the fat and stringiness. I am in disbelief at how a restaurant could prepare this dish and deem it acceptable to serve for someone to eat. My stomach became upset because of all the cold food and bad taste. And with all of this, the servers were unfriendly and cold. Our multiple thank you's were never returned, and we were never checked on, despite the restaurant not being busy. I don't even think a single word was ever spoken to us except for at the door asking how many guests at the table and what method of payment when we paid.

Go to checkit.regionofwaterloo.ca to view the public health inspections for this restaurant. MULTIPLE critical food safety infractions.

Please, save your wallets and your health. Find another sushi restaurant! I am never coming...

Been to Ye's Sushi a couple of times and today's visit will be the last time I will ever go there. When my daughter and I arrived for supper, it was pretty empty in the restaurant and it wasnt very hard to figure out that the Wait Staff was talking about us. Our waitress was good taking our empty dishes away until towards the end of our meal when she decided to take our plates that were directly in front of us and we were still eating. So damn rude. Well lets get to the best part. So we had a few pieces left over because we got full so we asked for a take out container. I understand All you Can Eat places dont like take out containers but we didn't want to waist the few pieces we had left (maybe 6 or 7 pieces left) Our Waitress told us if we want to take it home it will cost a additional $10. If we only had 2 or 3 pcs left over it would be different but we are waisting food. I never heard of such a thing but we said ok cause we dont want to waist the food. While she brought the container my daughter and I talked about it and we decided we don't want to take it, not with another $10. When she came back I apologized to her telling her that we decided to leave the food. Than she said that we have to pay the $10 anyway cause we are waisting food. I asked her why we are being charged extra since we are paying the $40 pp so why do we have to pay extra. She walked away. Than another waitress came over (the other waitress told her what's going on in their language) she picked up the tablet to show us all the food we ordered and told us that a Sushi roll of 8pcs alone is $13. I told her that's not my problem, its all you can eat. If its too expensive to make, don't have it as an option. My daughter and I walked away to pay for our food as we did not have any interest in causing a scene. Upon leaving, both waitresses stared at us, laughing and clearly talking about us. I find it so degrading and unprofessional of service staff to be making fun of their customers and than making up rules and increasing the price is so beyond disrespectful.

This will be the last time ever going to this restaurant and considering the price is $40 pp...options are very limited.

Shame on you for treating your...
