I'm sure all of you know, by now, how the town of THREE PINES in the Louise Penny novels is actually Knowlton (Lac Brome) and Buzz is the local restaurant equivalent set in those same books. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet on a cool by sunny Saturday morning where we ordered a exceptionally enjoyable breakfast of bacon and eggs. Not sure why, but everything about the meal and locale worked, eggs done just right, amazingly freshly baked croissant (it must have been only minutes old), crispy back and a small slight of brie with jam...it just hit the spot. Plus a ton of outstanding baked goods like Monster Brownies, Date Squares and the like. The menu is posted on the display case, and you order directly to the staff at the front for the meal to be served to you at the table. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the Eastern...

We were fortunate to have been able to stop by this charming cafe during our visit to Knowlton. The hours are limited but that makes it even more special when you get your timing right. Breakfast is always a challenge for me because of egg allergies, and so many breakfast menus are egg-heavy. The chef came out of the kitchen to ask me what I would like to have and when I told him my preferences, he prepared the most beautiful plate of brie, pastry, fresh fruits and a bit of meat. It was the most exquisite presentation for a breakfast I have ever had. And he brought it to our table himself. It's a meal and an experience I will always remember. The counter is filled with delectable pastries and treats of all kinds, and the food is prepared with such care. It's a must-do if you are in the area on his open days: Thursday...

Had a really unfriendly experience at this cafe this morning. Went in to pick up coffees and some baked goods, with my husband and son. When we got our stuff we sat at a table that did not have a reserved sign (two others did). My son was being very well behaved but two years olds can be a little messy and he was dropping some of his muffin on the floor. They basically came over and kicked us out saying that that the table was now reserved. Really unpleasant and embarrassing in front of other customers. We will...

What a beautiful place! The welcome is so warm and it is such a lovely environment in which to enjoy delicious food and drink. We were there for breakfast but spent a long time admiring the amazing cakes and other delicacies! The staff are so friendly and we loved meeting Peter especially, it was an absolute treat. Will think very fondly of Buzz and Knowlton as I sip my (English!) tea from my Buzz mug, now I’m home. In a town full of delightful eateries, don’t miss Buzz!

2 stars because of very nice menu they have with wide range of selection. 1 star because of clean and nice place. But, Over priced I should say. I paid 12$ tax included for 1 croissant with chicken. You could have a proper lunch plate from any restaurant not only a croissant.
