BeaverTails- Queues de Castor (Grand Bend) — Restaurant in Lambton Shores

We drove 25 minutes to get beavertails, food was okay- nothing great tho. i was kind of disgusted by the three young girls there and there poor attitudes to a customer, especially as a customer who tipped them 15%. one girl who was handling cash and then touching food- with no handwashing in between. No gloves on for food handling for any of them.

i got 4 beavertails to bring home, and very politey asked for a box, and then the one girl turned around and snapped at me saying they dont give boxes for regular beavertails only for those with icecream- but there icecream was all melted in there freezers, so why would i want that, and especially when im travelling back home with it?!? Then she starting telling me that they dont have enough boxes.... it made zero sense. If the owner reads this, i would suggest being on top of your inventory, and maybe having a conversation with the girls running and operating your store, as someone who works heavily in the food and service industry- im really disappointed in my experience this evening.

there was also bugs all over the ceiling- gross.

Beavertails are great. Just be aware they don't enforce masks. There is a sign on the door so I questioned the front staff... apparently "some people just don't wear them" so they let them get away with it.Completely ridiculous. After I ordered we waited for our food and noticed they let the same big group of people handle the serving tray out to their table. When the group returned the tray, the employees continued to use the SAME unsanitized tray for the following order. Once we noticed that we jumped in an asked then to clean the tray as contamination has occurred by passing it out to customers. Completely against safe food handling protocol and covid 19 protocol.

Update: the group of unmasked customers repeatedly entered the store without masks. They were not offered masks or told to wear masks, even after I asked about the mandatory masking sign on the front door. Also after asking to have the tray cleaned, we were given attitude by the staff...

Finally experienced my very first beaver tail after YEARS of waiting!!! It was everything and more 😍 I shared the avalanche with my husband. Which first of all was a huge mistake. I should have gotten my own 😭. It was AMAZING!! I love that they are made fresh when you order so you always know you’re getting a piping hot one. The two young girls working were so great! They were very nice and so quick with the huge line! A couple fiends also got the frozen lemonades as well & they were so good. Especially the strawberry...
